Platybelodon is a truly ridiculous animal if there were no fossils then no one would believe that there was once a creature that looked like an elephant (but only distantly related to elephants) that had a big fucking jaw shaped like a spoon that ended in what looked like two buck teeth.
yeah sure totally a real animal and not some bullshit you see when higher than a satellite
getting your wisdom teeth out FUCKING sucks. my mouth is in so much pain i can barely open it without turning into a half dead pile of mush.
and i didn't even get to keep my teeth because they are considered a "biohazard." bullshit. those are MY teeth if i ask for MY teeth I should get MY teeth.
it fucks me up a little to know that Grace will die and there is nothing rocky can do about it. because even under the best conditions humans cant live forever. Erid is not the best conditions. Rocky will have to watch his best friend die and then live for hundreds of years longer. he does not deserve such pain.
ROT AND MOLD
Growing up my family had a pile of compost in our backyard. It's where we would put all of our vegetable peels, dying houseplants, fruit from the bowl that didn’t quite look right, those kinds of things. About every year my mom would dig up the old compost and use it in the garden. It was great. With the exception of the bucket, see when you were cooking and you had some vegetable peelings you weren’t going to go out to the backyard and dump it in the pile, that would take too long. So there was an old metal pot on the counter where the plant waste would go and it would sit there and rot. The pot was big so it would sit there for a good while as more and more plant material would build up as the pot filled up. The stuff in the bottom would rot and the whole kitchen would sometimes stink of moldy potato peels and apple cores. The pot would grow with all sorts of mold the fuzzy stuff was its favorite. And there were bugs. In the warmer months simply touching the pot would cause a swarm of flies to rise. There were always more than you could kill, one time I looked into the pot and it writhed with flies and maggots. That metal pot was most certainly a health hazard.
There was more though I don't know why but after about two weeks of sitting on the counter it would start to move, not writhe with insects but move as if it was alive. Because it was. Ever since I was little my dad had instructed me to tell him if I saw the pot move, and almost every time he would come into the kitchen, look at the pot, and would say “This one didn’t work.” When I was younger he would take the pot into the backyard and be out there for a while, then come back in with an empty pot. That stopped once I got older because my dad decided I could take it out myself. So for most of my teenage years about every two weeks my dad would come up to me and tell me to “take out the compost” so I would go to the kitchen, put on gloves, and take the pot to the backyard. I would walk up to the compost pile and flip the pot upside down, sometimes it would fall out on its own but most of the time I would have to bang on the pot and shake it until it fell out. Then it would start screaming. I would toss the pot aside and grab the pitchfork then I would have to stab the thing over and over and bury it beneath the pile of the compost and keep stabbing it until it stopped screaming. Sometimes it took five minutes, one time it took an hour. I don't know how the neighbours never called the cops because that thing was loud. Once it stopped screaming I would lean the pitchfork back up against a nearby tree and pick up the pot. I would go back inside, put that pot in the sink and fill it with hot soapy water. It would soak for a few days and then my dad would clean it and put it back on the counter. I cannot put into words how much I hated that pot. It stunk, attracted bugs, almost certainly gave me an illness at least once, and added a miserable thing to my routine. A few times I would ask my dad about the pot, why he did it and how he did it because I was always aware that this was a deeply unnatural thing. He would dodge my questions or just outright ignore me. And my mom was no help, she seemed oblivious to all the weird things that surrounded that pot.
One day when I was sixteen the hatred for that pot finally boiled over. I was making myself a sandwich and heard a noise from the pot I looked over and saw its moldy, rotting mass trying to climb out of the pot. I finally snapped I yelled at that pot asking it what it was, why it persisted in my life, I wanted it gone, I wanted it fucking gone. I was alone at the time and knew I could take action, so I put on two layers of gloves and a facemask. I picked up that pot and walked to the furthest corner of my backyard. I dropped it there and grabbed a shovel from the shed and dug a three foot deep hole just big enough for the pot, I put it in, the open side up. I filled the hole with sticks and dried leaves and lit that thing on fire and I swear to God I heard a scream from that hole. Once the fire died down I filled the hole with the dirt and did my best to make it look like I was never there. I went back inside and wiped down the counter where it once sat with the most powerful cleaner we had, I threw out the gloves and facemask and went to the bathroom and took a very long and very nice shower. The next day when my dad got home he didn’t ask about the pot. He seemed annoyed and didn’t really talk to me for a week. We started putting the stuff we would once put in the compost in the trash. Every once in a while I would go back to the spot where I buried it and the small mound where that pot was buried never seemed to grow anything.
I wrote this story a bit ago and decided to polish it up and post it. I am not a super good writer so any critique is welcome. I will have a video on my youtube of the story being narrated soon if you are interested in that.
My minecraft world i very slowly deteriorating and i fear that within a few years time it may be unplayable. it began when I couldn't craft bricks I checked and it wasn't a bug with the version I was on, it was specific to that world. Then I found out ghasts are incapable of dropping the tears music disc. and now creepers don't drop gunpowder. I'm slowly going insane why is it doing this.

for the 0 people who know this place exists i have a question
if an alien species made a drawing would it be art? I say yes but one of my friends says no because the definition of art says it is human expression. I think thats stupid because if an alien made a drawing thats still a piece of art. if the alien feels and made that drawing to express something then it is still are regardless of species
also fuck ai nothing the machines will ever produce is art
is it art

If Mojang releases a Minecraft themed rougelike i will be extremely happy.
If i had a nickel for evetime Brandon Mull wrote a YA fantasy novel where a teenage boy from the four corners region of the USA was transported to another world that had magic in it and then became a key figure in a rebellion against a tyrannical dictator, i would have two nickels which isn't a lot but it weird that it happened twice.
A question i have about beyonders is what happened to the remaining displacers after Felrook was blown up? we know that any that were near or in Felrook were vaporized but surely some were out spying and whatnot so then what happens afterwards? are they imprisioned or executed do they go on the run? we know that displacers can change as Ferrin shows so do some of the displacers try to change?
just finished the series Beyonders by Brandon Mull and it is incredible would highly recommend to anyone who likes fantasy novels
