The preponderance & benefits of vegetarianism are widely discussed these days & more people are shifting to healthier, eco-friendly, plant-based diet to remain healthier.

If we can convince the world that vegetarianism & veganism are the best remedy for health & peaceful living, there can be lot of relief from the increasing diseases & cruelty of human beings to animals. There is a strong theory ‘You are what you eat’; it’s true in a way. The nature of food largely influences your innate nature. You can just observe nature, you can perceive calmness, serenity, stamina of vegetarian animals like horse, deer; at the same time experience the ferocity & brutality of carnivorous animals. Those who consume more red meat also will have similar traits by nature, depending on the regularity of the diet.
Vegetarian diet promotes healthier heart, keep away diabetes or cancers such as gut cancer, longer life span apart from certain diseases like bird flu, salmonella, poultry/fish born disorders etc.
All our unrefined fruits, nuts, vegetables, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, beans, peas, nuts, seeds are excellent storehouses of digestive fibres, increasing the roughage content in our food & balancing body weight. Vegan diets naturally tend to reduce your calorie intake helping weight loss, help fight against prostate, breast, colon cancers & probiotic-rich whole foods help reduce symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis.
As per reports, vegetarians may be up to one-third less likely to die or be hospitalized for heart disease, it reduces cancer risk. It will reduce chances of type 2 diabetes, blood pressure, promotes bone health & decrease asthma symptoms, compared to non-veg diet.
TAILPIECE: It’s time to contemplate what we are eating & greet a meat-free day. Veganism is a philosophy & lifestyle which seeks to eliminate all sorts of exploitation & cruelty towards animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose; & by extension, promotes the development & value animal-free alternatives for the benefit of mankind & living creatures.
