Xenonauts is a very interesting experience, especially compared to XCOM

My best example is the method for capturing Xenoforms,

Xcom: you get this special shoulder mounted (i think?) taser net that shoots out and incapacitates everything from little nerd aliens (Sectoids) to the big jock bastards with all adrenaline (Mutons/Beserkers)

Xenonauts? *XENONAUTS?*

And then you proceed to constantly throw smoke grenades into the room until the alien filth chokes and falls unconscious OR you equip your guys with fucking BATONS and send them in with a firm "HE'S REACHING!"

theres an assumption that if an alien has an alien gender system they wouldnt understand homophobia but maybe they just have their own more complex version of homophobia. alien society with eight genders and a horribly complex web of what is considered socially acceptable that makes the gender binary look like easy mode. i'm inventing homophobia 2 and it's terrible.
