Comprehensive Guide to Safety Measures for a Lost or Stolen Android Phone
If God willing your Android phone is lost or stolen, these are five possible ways to trace or recover the phone. Effort must be made. Not 100% but there is a good chance of getting the phone back. I saw my friend's stolen phone back after 8 months. And the Facebook friend also confirmed that he had recovered the stolen phone.
✅ Find my phone. Every Android phone has a Gmail ID login. If your phone is lost, before turning it off or resetting it, first log in the Gmail ID of the lost phone in another mobile or laptop and write "Find my phone" in Google, then click on the first website. On doing this, the location of the phone will be shown in front of you, the Imei number of the phone, the battery percentage of the phone and which internet the mobile is connected to will be shown. But if the phone is stolen, the thief will turn off the phone first, so if the thief can't turn off the phone and you can trace the phone yourself, move on to the next method.
✅ Phone Tracking App. Pre-install an app in the phone called Hammer Security. This app can get location camera pictures and mic recording of the phone and the thief can't turn off the mobile so this app has this system. This app does not allow the phone to be turned off, on pressing the power off button, a fake power off button will be shown, on pressing it, the phone will fake off, that is, the screen will turn off, but the phone will actually be on, and you can turn off the phone from the website of this app. All information can be accessed and traced.
✅ Sim Change SMS The two methods mentioned above require internet in the mobile for both of them, but the method I am going to tell you now does not require the internet. In this method, you have to install an app in the mobile in which You have to provide a backup number or home number. When a SIM is inserted in your stolen mobile, an SMS will be sent from this SIM to your number, which will let you know the number running in the mobile. But the condition is that there is an SMS balance in the SIM and the mobile is not reset. Some time ago an app called LEO Security was available on play store which had this functionality but now it is not available on play store.
A normal person can only use these three methods mentioned above and for them it is necessary to do this immediately after the mobile is lost and stolen and if the mobile is reset then any of the above mentioned methods. Will not work. Tracking by IMEI number of mobile is not possible for a normal person and neither such things are available for general public.
✅ Police Report It is mandatory to file a police report of your stolen or lost mobile phone, firstly, there are chances of finding the mobile phone, secondly, if your mobile phone is used in an incident, if you have reported it, you will be saved otherwise. You might even get stuck. The police must enter the imei number of your mobile in their system. It is mandatory for all the shopkeepers to check the app called e-gadtes before buying any mobile. If your mobile comes to a shop for sale, the police will be informed immediately and the person bringing the mobile will be caught and the police will call you saying that your mobile has been found and come and take it. It may take time to get a mobile but there are chances of getting a mobile. I myself am an eye witness of getting a mobile like this.
✅ Private Tracking In this method, the imei number of your mobile is traced by paying money. Tracking is done through the mobile company and some organization, but in this people play the role of middleman, i.e. take money from you and get you traced. The number of the active SIM in the mobile and the name, address, ID card number and location of the person in whose name the SIM is available.
