Flashback; Recovery - Jill/Leon
Slim digits began to pick at the white plastic bag. It all just seemed too soon. Too soon to be out and about gathering stuff that one would need for everyday life. Too soon to be thrusted back into everyday life. At this moment, the hospital was still looking like a sanctuary — despite the constant testing and supervision. But somehow that’s what helped to make the newly blonde feel human again.
At any given moment she could just stand up and walk casually out of the shopping center. Even though there was nowhere for her to go, the hospital would still be there and she could stay as long as needed. Maybe up until she felt like herself again. That could be one plan. But even so, she just couldn’t do that to Leon. Not after he offered to help keep watch and make sure she was alright. That would just be disrespectful.
Lost within her own thoughts, she filched as a figure stood before her. Pale hues glanced up slowly unsure who they would see. But it was Leon. Relief flooded throughout her body as she un-tensed some. Jill moved over some as the agent took a seat next to her. She still wasn’t used to people being so close — even if they were just sitting down. The blonde gazed down at the bags sitting at the foot of the agent. Seems like be bought quite a few things, but she probably wouldn’t be eating too much; time would only tell.
A dainty hand took the sweet item he held out. Ice cream? It had been so long since she even seen any sort of ice cream let alone had any. It was like she had to reacquaint herself with the world. Something no one should ever have to do. Due to the coldness of the item, her hand quickly began to freeze; growing numb. But Jill just looked at the enclosed treat. She wasn’t really feeling like having any, but it was a nice gesture.
"For now, yes." She answered in a quiet tone before holding up the tiny drugstore bag. It went quiet for a bit after that. So badly did she want to get out of this crowded place, but she wasn’t going to stand up and exit the shopping center on her own. “What about you? Get everything you needed?" She asked back, trying to be friendly.
The tiny white drugstore bag made him smile. At least Jill was looking after herself for a bit. Well, at least he hoped so. It had actually surprised him quite a bit how long she had lasted in this mall. Maybe he had pushed her too far, but by the looks of it she was dealing with it well. Of course Leon couldn’t read her mind, but she hadn’t made any complains as of yet. “Yup. Got everything,” he replied and stood up when he finished his ice cream. It was best to leave now; more and more entered the mall and the loud noises from people’s talking and shouting after their children were even giving him a headache.
Leon nodded towards the exit and waited for Jill to stand up before they headed back outside. It had got pretty cloudy by the time they had got outside again. Looked like a thunderstorm was coming their way, so Leon placed the shopping bags down on the ground for a second before unzipping his jacket in order to cover both him and Jill with it. It was a little awkward walking this way, but at least they didn’t get wet on the way back home.
The rain began to pour down harder once they got all the way back. Leon unlocked the door and let Jill enter the apartment first to be a gentleman and just locked it after him. “At least we aren’t soaked!” he tried to laugh to lift the mood, but it was clear this whole thing was still bothering the blonde female. His smile faded slowly as he cleared his throat and placed the shopping bags on the kitchen counter and began to unpack the stuff and place them wherever they belonged.
After he was done he hung his wet jacket on a chair and glanced over to Jill for a moment before he bit into his lip. Her quietness worried him a lot, but there was nothing he could possible do to make her feel better apart from giving her time and be there for her. “If you want a shower or bath you can just do it. There’s no need to hold back. Towels are already in the bathroom.” He flashed her a tiny smile and made his way over to open the windows. “Just.. make yourself feel like home. Pretend I’m not here.”
Bruises & Kisses - Ada | Leon
Brown optics scanned over the flyers once more. Missing persons posts covered the event posters, missing pet posters, and the like — all ranging from late teens to early adulthood. Whomever was behind this must’ve been taking these kids in order to test and experiment on them — perfecting the virus to their own means. It was sick, really, that people would do this. But such a world they lived in.
It was bothersome that there was a photograph of her in this place. Never once had she set foot within these walls let alone the theme park just up above. Seemed like they were trying to use her as a scapegoat for whatever reason. Carla had already played this game and lost before.
She was a neutral cause; not on the side of good, not on the side of evil. In her world it was a black and white situation with a spot of gray in between, and that spot of gray was herself. She did what she had to do in order to survive. Having something pinned on oneself was a hard feeling to describe.
But one thing was for sure: these people were not going to get away with it.
Having sharp hearing cause for hearing footsteps beginning to approach. Silent yet heavy steps — easily identifiable.
The brunette turned on her heel to face the government agent. There was no nodding in agreement, but he was right; this was is a ticking time bomb. And it was only a matter of time before it was set off causing for more trouble to erupt. God only know’s what else was lurking about this place.
Seems like this was the beginning of an interrogation. Wouldn’t be the first time this has happened, and it most certainly wouldn’t be the last.
One thing she was curious about was where he found the photograph along with the information about the experiment. If she got her hands on something from that place, then maybe she could find some answers to this before continuing on with her mission.
The mission.
What if all of this had been some sort of set up by The Organization? Surely they wouldn’t be silly enough to get rid of one of their top spies? Ada had proven herself to them many a time. This was a ridiculous thought to even have. But it was one that she wouldn’t quite shove away. Not yet.
It was saddening that he thought she had something to do with this. Even after all these years he still hasn’t seen the light. It only caused for a pathetic show to be put on, but nothing was said on her part. No movement of the head or hands. Nothing but stiffness and silence. She wanted to hear what he had to say on this whole matter.
However once he raised a gun towards her an eyebrow quirked up slightly. He was adamant on getting answers and getting to the bottom of this, but so was she — just in her own way that didn’t involve threatening of any kind. Arms soon crossed over another as weight was shifted from one leg to the other; a bored expression lie on her features.
This whole show was actually … pathetic and sad to watch. It was as if he were trying to be bold and brave against her, but even as he did; it was like he couldn’t go through with it. Ada was nothing special, even in her own mind, and she didn’t blame him for his actions — many have done so in the past; even with her.
Once he was finished, the air around the pair few silent once more. So much she could have said, and yet she said not a single word. At this moment Ada could just walk around his person, get on with her objective while figuring out this new mystery. But she didn’t. No, she couldn’t do that to him. Apart of her did change after meeting the once rookie cop in Raccoon City — helped to open her eyes a little more with a few things. But she still wasn’t changing who she was; just getting more wiser with the years.
"Leon…"
Her voice was soft and smooth, like crushed velvet. But quickly retreated from saying anything else. Fire behind the agent caught her eye. It was moving at a normal speed, but it soon began to grow. Although far away, she could make out that it was a group of people; who they were was up in the air. But the longer the two stayed out in the open, the more at risk they would be.
Hues meeting the steel gray ones, she nodded towards one of the abandoned buildings before sprinting away without waiting for a single word from him.
His cold blue grey eyes didn’t focus on anything but Ada’s . It was like he was melting into them; getting lost and forget time. The DOS agent waited. Waited for a simple answer from the woman he adored, but she remained silent. Why was it so hard to answer him? What exactly did she have to hide? Leon had too many questions. Far too many for her. He could almost see how much this amused her; playing cat and mouse all over again.
Both had grown old. Old and exhausted by this whole mess that took place years ago. Both were young and stupid and he had put all his hope into this woman. There was no way he could ever truly believe her, yet Leon never had a choice to do otherwise. It was killing him inside and he knew she was going to be the death of him one day.
When she spoke at last, her voice was so smooth he almost let out a whimper. Why did she have to do this to him? Crush him like a cockroach with her heels. Might as well rub salt into the wound on his back where she had repeatedly stabbed him. He waited for another word to come out of that mouth of hers, but next thing he knew seeing her eyes changing within seconds. Something had happened. Something was coming.
Leon turned half way to see the fire as well. Seem like they weren’t alone in this village after all. He had somehow hoped the guy with the chainsaw had been the only one, but hoping for anything like that was silly. Locking eyes with the spy once more he understood her signal straight away and ran right behind her towards one of the abandoned buildings. They had to be quiet and make sure no one was going to see them. The group of people didn’t look too friendly nor like a small group.
The spy got inside first and Leon avoided using his flashlight in this situation. He closed the door behind him quickly, turned around and rested his back against it. Voices outside grew older; a sign that the villagers were getting closer. He shared a gaze with Ada for a short moment before he tried to recognize whatever language they were speaking. It sounded Japanese, but he wasn’t too sure. Too many people at same time were talking. Leon looked down for a moment to gather his thoughts before looking back to the dark haired woman and whispered quietly. “What now?”
Lost - Leon|Sherry
As long as Leon was busy with the deer she decided to wash the blood on her skin off. She sunk a piece of her sleeve into the cold, clear water and carefully rubbed the dried blood away. It felt nice against her heated skin, cooling it off. Once she was done she turned around to Leon who was cutting the meat out of the animal. Something seemed odd. He was pale and looked like he had seen a ghost, so she walked with quick steps over to him. Her eyes fell on the bloody meat before she raised her voice.
"Let me do the rest with the meat, you look… tired." Horrible and dirty would have described it better but the blonde didn’t want to be mean to him at the moment. She took the bloody knife out of his hands, smiling weakly up to him. “Lie down for a bit and rest."
Sherry picked the meat up and carried it to the water source. It wouldn’t be smart to get their only drinkable water dirty, so she cupped the water with her bare hands and rubbed it over the deer meat to clean it. The blonde used her shirt to clean Leon’s knife carefully. Then she took one piece and started to free it from sinews and fat to make it eatable. It was quite some work and she tried her best to keep everything as clean as possible. Even though it wouldn’t matter too much since it was cooked later. When she was done she closed her eyes for a moment before glancing to Leon who was lying on the forest floor.
He looked rough; dirty, dark circles under his eyes, hair messy, cuts and bruises everywhere and his clothes ripped.
Slowly she crawled closer to him and gave him the water bottle. It was quiet but as her light blue eyes traced over his skin she took the knife again and cut the lower half of her black pants. Both halves were dipped into the cold water before the young agent returned to his side. She pushed his hair lightly out of his face and put the cold piece of cloth on his forehead. His eyes met hers and a smile tugged on her lips. “What? Trying to prevent a fever that might could come… or not." Hopefully not.
Next she took his hand into her lap and took the second cloth to clean the dirty skin and his fingernails, trying to get all the blood and dirt off but being careful where he had cuts, not wanting to hurt him. First his right, then his left one. Even his hands were covered with scars, telling of the many things he had been through. Afterwards the female leaned forward, doing the same to his with stubble covered face, still holding one hand in her small and skinny one. “There, done. You’re a pretty man now again."
Her lips met the skin of his hand for a second before she let go of it. The weather was still too hot and the air too dry but in the shadows of the forest made this all a little bit better. “I think it’s okay to stay a little longer, we shouldn’t walk in the midday sun anyway." The time was only a guess though. Taking a deep breath she filled up their bottle and placed it between them so both could have it.
They got food, meat and fruits, water, a place to stay and some things from the plane. This was a start but they still didn’t have a way to get off this island nor did they know the other people very well. Both, Leon and Sherry, knew how reckless and edgy people could get in such situations. It could turn out to get a bit dangerous. Thoughtfully she looked at the ground, nibbling in the same manner on the skin of her fingers.
He didn’t pay much attention to what Sherry was doing. All he could hear was her footsteps and breathing, but he tried to ignore it as much as he could while cutting the deer up. Sweat was running down his forehead as he ripped the meat apart and the scent from the dead animal was beginning to make him feel extremely ill. Fingers covered in blood, he got interrupted by Sherry’s soft voice. Concern and worried was in it, so Leon turned his head to look up at her. He stood up slowly and felt slightly dizzy so when Sherry took the knife out of his bloody hand he didn’t even notice it.
Sherry had suggested for him to get some rest while she took care of the meat. It was probably for the best for now, so he decided to lie down in the grass and took a deep breath to inhale the fresh air. His eyes were focused on a cloud passing by. It was formed weirdly. Almost reminded him of a tyrant with wings. The thought made him cringe and close his eyes to relax.
He must have been out for a couple of minutes, because it wasn’t before feeling something cold and wet against his forehead. Leon looked straight into Sherry’s eyes; more shocked than worried, but quickly calmed down when he saw her face. Sherry’s sweet words made him smile a bit. He wasn’t so sure how the fever was doing anymore. The last couple of hours had made him feel numb, so he hadn’t really noticed much difference. “Thank you.”
As the blonde female began to clean him, he just closed his eyes against and let her. The gentle touches made him relax, feel good for even just a couple of seconds and forget the stress. Hearing Sherry thinking it was best to stay here for a while made him sit up slowly after she was done cleaning him. “Probably for the best, but we do need to head back before it gets too dark.” The agent was more concerned about people raiding their do-it-self tent than being attacked. Leon knew both him and Sherry could easily take people down as long as they worked together. Besides, he still had a gun.
They stayed for a couple of hours more before heading back with the beach area. Leon carried the meat while Sherry took care of the water bottle. The tent was going to stink of dead animal if they kept it inside, so Leon came up with an idea. “I’m gonna go back into the jungle with the meat and find some strong sticks and make up something. No way we are keeping this inside the tent. It’s gonna stink.” Sherry probably didn’t like the idea as it was already dark by now. But Leon didn’t let her argue. “Can you prepare the tent? Clean it up a little or even do some homemade plates? When I come back we can do the fire together.” He gave her a smile before returning back to the jungle.
Time to do some paper work.

.. what
*sexes your face*
I like my face very much, thank you.
*licks your face*
Damn lickers.
*pinches your butt*
I didn't expect this at all today..
You never know until you try it but, you really know how to take the fun out of something, dontcha? *annoyed sigh* Fine. I'll go play with someone else.
You do that, sweetheart. Maybe Sherry don't mind hanging out with you.
I think you are. You just don't wanna admit it to yourself, hotstuff.
Oh really?
Please, just go bother Dean or someone else. Play with Sherry.
A laugh of amusement.
"Oh, trust me, it is personal business. But you wouldn’t see that because you still can’t get past if I’m ‘good’ or ‘evil’."
Scoffs.
"And here I thought you’d finally realize that."
A smirk tugged at her lips. "
Oh, trust me; Mr. Lester will be in excellent hands. That I can assure you of."
"Leon, you might not want to flirt with the poor man. After all, you do have an angelic being."
"Well, if you told me whatever you want to do with him, maybe I wouldn't be judging you so much, Ada."
He sighed, already knowing this was not going anywhere.
"Your hands, I take it? Not really trustworthy seeing as the BSAA is still on your case. Don't get Maurice involved with our world, it won't be fair on him."
A scoff came from him.
"I'm not flirting with anyone. Besides why do you care so much about my personal life? I'm only protecting this man as part of my job."
