Well, you're cute as well.Â
I'm pretty sure you are, sweetie.Â
Sherry’s a nice name. Hah? Of course I don’t. I’m pretty honest to say so myself.
Not something you see a lot around. You seem like a lovely person to have on someone's side.Â
/pinches his cheek
Say… Who’s the lovely guy who compliments me?Â
Name’s Jean. You’re pretty cute. What’s your name?
You're not hesitating with compliments, huh? I'm Sherry.Â
No need to drool about it though. But eh… thank you.Â
You’re.. welcome, I guess?

Lost - Leon|Sherry
He didn’t pay much attention to what Sherry was doing. All he could hear was her footsteps and breathing, but he tried to ignore it as much as he could while cutting the deer up. Sweat was running down his forehead as he ripped the meat apart and the scent from the dead animal was beginning to make him feel extremely ill. Fingers covered in blood, he got interrupted by Sherry’s soft voice. Concern and worried was in it, so Leon turned his head to look up at her. He stood up slowly and felt slightly dizzy so when Sherry took the knife out of his bloody hand he didn’t even notice it.
Sherry had suggested for him to get some rest while she took care of the meat. It was probably for the best for now, so he decided to lie down in the grass and took a deep breath to inhale the fresh air. His eyes were focused on a cloud passing by. It was formed weirdly. Almost reminded him of a tyrant with wings. The thought made him cringe and close his eyes to relax.
He must have been out for a couple of minutes, because it wasn’t before feeling something cold and wet against his forehead. Leon looked straight into Sherry’s eyes; more shocked than worried, but quickly calmed down when he saw her face. Sherry’s sweet words made him smile a bit. He wasn’t so sure how the fever was doing anymore. The last couple of hours had made him feel numb, so he hadn’t really noticed much difference. “Thank you.”
As the blonde female began to clean him, he just closed his eyes against and let her. The gentle touches made him relax, feel good for even just a couple of seconds and forget the stress. Hearing Sherry thinking it was best to stay here for a while made him sit up slowly after she was done cleaning him. “Probably for the best, but we do need to head back before it gets too dark.” The agent was more concerned about people raiding their do-it-self tent than being attacked. Leon knew both him and Sherry could easily take people down as long as they worked together. Besides, he still had a gun.
They stayed for a couple of hours more before heading back with the beach area. Leon carried the meat while Sherry took care of the water bottle. The tent was going to stink of dead animal if they kept it inside, so Leon came up with an idea. “I’m gonna go back into the jungle with the meat and find some strong sticks and make up something. No way we are keeping this inside the tent. It’s gonna stink.” Sherry probably didn’t like the idea as it was already dark by now. But Leon didn’t let her argue. “Can you prepare the tent? Clean it up a little or even do some homemade plates? When I come back we can do the fire together.” He gave her a smile before returning back to the jungle.
No, she wasn’t happy about his idea. Not one bit. But he didn’t let her argue. She tried her best to get a word in, he was in no condition to go alone in the dark. But Leon just waved off all her worries and words and walked into the dark jungle. The blonde watched him with squinted eyes, crossing her arms in front of her chest and stomped like a little, upset kid her foot into the sand. This was not fair. When he was worried about her, he’d tie her to a chair if she would even try to do something like he did now. And when she was worried? He just stepped over her, not even thinking about how she was feeling. A small growl came over her lips before she turned around. "Homemade plates… What am I, Leon? Your maid?," she whispered, the anger clearly speaking. The whole situation started to make her moody and it was quite unusual for her to actually show it. And out of what exactly should she make those plates? Leaves? Cloth? Bark? Sherry didn’t know. Leon would take some time anyway, so the blonde sat down in the still warm sand, thinking about the plates and playing with the buttons on her blouse. Another problem was the darkness around her, she barely could see anything and making a fire now? There was no need to draw attention when she was on her own, no matter how well she could take care of herself. "Ahhh…" She rubbed her face and pulled on her fine hair. Why did everything have to be so damn complicated? The possible solution for a problem caused only more problems.
"Tough day?," a voice behind her suddenly asked. Sherry jumped up and turned to the direction the voice came from, blinking a few times to adjust her eyes to the darkness. A man, not really a familiar face, she couldn’t remember seeing him on the beach nor on the plane and that surprised her. She usually would remember someone with bright red hair like him. But maybe the heat made her uncautionous. "You… could say that," Sherry answered, still hesitating. It was better to keep him on distance as long as she didn’t know from where he came from. He looked too… good to be involved in the crash. "You might should put on a fire, it’s dangerous in the dark." Without waiting for a reply from her, he just kneeled down and made one with sticks that had been tied to his back and the blonde could only watch him. Seemed like this wasn’t his first time.
Something was wrong. Something about this guy was really fishy, as nice as he played. But a small “thank you" fell from her lips though. With a smile he looked up to her and Sherry was sure now that she hadn’t seen him before. "You look hungry and stressed out. Aren’t people taking good care of you?" "I’m fine on my own!," she said quickly. Too quickly. Her fingers stretched to her holster that was still attached to her thigh but it was empty. Leon had taken the gun with him. Shit.
Lost - Leon|Sherry
It was for the best if they kept going. Who knew what sort of attractions they could make just by the smell of Sherry’s blood? The thought made him cringe a bit, but shook it off when Sherry got up from his arms. Leon stood up after her and together they began to walk. Her little joke about getting Rick’s number had surprised him, but it probably wouldn’t hurt making those two meet up. After all it only meant Leon had the chance to see Sherry more as well. As they continued to walk, Sherry decided to split up. At first he didn’t like the idea, but Sherry seemed so determined that he didn’t had the chance to get a word in.
Watching her leave made him smile a bit. “.. Sherry and her adventures,” he sighed a bit and took a good look around before getting deeper into the jungle. The weather was so humid and hot here. Leon didn’t exactly enjoy it unlike other people on the island did. Sweat was already running off his forehead; it was quite annoying. The agent quickly snapped out of the thoughts when he heard a creaking noise not too far from him. First thought that came to mind was that it was Sherry, but she had headed in the other direction. Leon held out his gun and quietly made his way towards it.
He pushed some bushes out of the way and had his gun ready if it was something edible. Though, as the noise-maker came into view Leon found himself unable to move. His eyes blinked several times before he noticed he wasn’t dreaming; Ada. Why was she here? She stood there, like nothing had happened. In the same suit as she was in back in Raccoon City. She looked younger too. “… Ada, what-“ Another voice interrupted his own which caused the agent to turn in that direction and aim his gun right at the person. Sherry. She talked like they were the only ones here though, why on Earth hadn’t she noticed Ada was right behind him?
Sherry explained about the water source and began to pull him by the arm sleeves, but Leon hold back for a moment to look back at where Ada was. The feeling over water rushing over his body came over him when he saw she was gone. What in the world was going on? If he mention this to Sherry she would just tell him to ignore it. But.. it was Ada. He was sure of it.
Sherry had guided him all the way back to the water source and he saw the few animals that were around. His eyes scanned the area to find the biggest animal of them all and aimed his gun without saying as much as a word. Getting a good view of it he pulled the trigger and killed the big deer on the spot. All the other animals fleed when they heard the sound of the gun. Leon didn’t say a word, but just walked over to the deer to make sure it was dead and not suffering. Â
As long as Leon was busy with the deer she decided to wash the blood on her skin off. She sunk a piece of her sleeve into the cold, clear water and carefully rubbed the dried blood away. It felt nice against her heated skin, cooling it off. Once she was done she turned around to Leon who was cutting the meat out of the animal. Something seemed odd. He was pale and looked like he had seen a ghost, so she walked with quick steps over to him. Her eyes fell on the bloody meat before she raised her voice.
"Let me do the rest with the meat, you look... tired." Horrible and dirty would have described it better but the blonde didn't want to be mean to him at the moment. She took the bloody knife out of his hands, smiling weakly up to him. "Lie down for a bit and rest."Â
Sherry picked the meat up and carried it to the water source. It wouldn't be smart to get their only drinkable water dirty, so she cupped the water with her bare hands and rubbed it over the deer meat to clean it. The blonde used her shirt to clean Leon's knife carefully. Then she took one piece and started to free it from sinews and fat to make it eatable. It was quite some work and she tried her best to keep everything as clean as possible. Even though it wouldn't matter too much since it was cooked later. When she was done she closed her eyes for a moment before glancing to Leon who was lying on the forest floor.
He looked rough; dirty, dark circles under his eyes, hair messy, cuts and bruises everywhere and his clothes ripped.Â
Slowly she crawled closer to him and gave him the water bottle. It was quiet but as her light blue eyes traced over his skin she took the knife again and cut the lower half of her black pants. Both halves were dipped into the cold water before the young agent returned to his side. She pushed his hair lightly out of his face and put the cold piece of cloth on his forehead. His eyes met hers and a smile tugged on her lips. "What? Trying to prevent a fever that might could come... or not." Hopefully not.Â
Next she took his hand into her lap and took the second cloth to clean the dirty skin and his fingernails, trying to get all the blood and dirt off but being careful where he had cuts, not wanting to hurt him. First his right, then his left one. Even his hands were covered with scars, telling of the many things he had been through. Afterwards the female leaned forward, doing the same to his with stubble covered face, still holding one hand in her small and skinny one. "There, done. You're a pretty man now again."Â
Her lips met the skin of his hand for a second before she let go of it. The weather was still too hot and the air too dry but in the shadows of the forest made this all a little bit better. "I think it's okay to stay a little longer, we shouldn't walk in the midday sun anyway." The time was only a guess though. Taking a deep breath she filled up their bottle and placed it between them so both could have it.Â
They got food, meat and fruits, water, a place to stay and some things from the plane. This was a start but they still didn't have a way to get off this island nor did they know the other people very well. Both, Leon and Sherry, knew how reckless and edgy people could get in such situations. It could turn out to get a bit dangerous. Thoughtfully she looked at the ground, nibbling in the same manner on the skin of her fingers.Â
I’m not a princess. You know, you could’ve visited me and give me a princess dress and a tiara when I was younger.Â
You never seemed the type.
Never mind, Sherry..
It's okay.. I was just joking, silly...Â
I know, I’m not planning to let things go further. I can look after myself, don’t worry.
If you say so, princess.
I'm not a princess. You know, you could've visited me and give me a princess dress and a tiara when I was younger.Â
"Already got an idea or are you just looking around, trying to find something worth writing about?," she asked, tilting her head a bit and causing the blonde hair to fall in her eyes.Â
"Well, somethin’ like that," He looked down, scratching the back of his neck, “M’ still searchin’ for more information, ya’ know? I haven’t been able ta’ find some good material if ya’ catch my drift." He scoffed, as the corner of his lips tugged into a unsure smile.
He acted somehow strange in the agent's eyes but maybe he was just shy. She returned his smile with a soft smirk. "May I ask what you're writing about or is this some kind of... secret you rather keep for yourself?"
"A journalist, I see…" She looked up to him and stuffed a hand in the pocket of her jeans. “Are you working on a report at the moment?"
He made a small hum as he pondered about the question. ".. Somewhat, m’ still tryin’ to get a good scoop for a new article."
"Already got an idea or are you just looking around, trying to find something worth writing about?," she asked, tilting her head a bit and causing the blonde hair to fall in her eyes.Â
Sherry Birkin. What brought you here?Â
"Sherry," He nodded, trying to memorize the girl’s name in his head repeatedly. “Me work brought me here, m’ a journalist currently workin’ fer Atlanta’s press."
"A journalist, I see..." She looked up to him and stuffed a hand in the pocket of her jeans. "Are you working on a report at the moment?"
Hello. Who are you if you don’t mind me asking?
"Name’s Maurice, Maurice Lester, and you are?"
Sherry Birkin. What brought you here?Â
"Hello, miss."
Hello. Who are you if you don't mind me asking?
Into the Nothing Leon|Sherry
He had done as she requested; put on his shirt again and brought along the gun and small knife. The sun was so hot though, it felt like his skin was already burning just by walking outside. Either way they continued into the jungle in hope to find some decent drinking water along with food. Leon didn’t exactly wanted to waste the bullets in the gun on shooting animals, but hopefully a shot or two wasn’t going to hurt.
They didn’t talk much together. Leon was too focused on finding some food, but the only animals around were birds in the trees. It wasn’t enough to feed two or more people. Sighing quietly, the agent shot a glance over to Sherry who was going her own way. He wasn’t going to stop her though, maybe she needed some space, but he kept his eyes on her at times.
A small noise drew his attention away from Sherry though. He looked across the area they were in, but didn’t see anything at first. Until he walked almost right in front of him. A small deer was wandering around right in front of him. A damn deer. This was so odd. What would a deer do here? Wasn’t it too hot? Without thinking any further Leon reached out for it, startling it slightly, but it eventually got closer to him. “Shh…”
He had his knife ready behind his back, ready to kill the poor baby animal. He hated it, but had no choice in order to survive with Sherry. His fingers fisted harder around the shaft of the knife and was about to strike it at the deer until he heard a thud behind him. The animal managed to flee which caused him to sigh. “Sherry?” Where was she?
Nearby he noticed the struggling noise and saw Sherry on the ground; her ankle wrapped around barbwire. He raised an eyebrow before going over to her quickly. “Stop struggling, you’re making it worse.” Gentle, he crouched down next to her and placed the knife on the ground before looking at the length of the wire. The blood on Sherry’s hands made him a bit worried, but didn’t say a word as his fingers sneaked between the tiny spikes on the wires. “Take a deep breath… then lift your foot up slightly.” He waited for her to do so and managed to get her ankle free even if his own fingers began to bleed along with scratching her skin.
Once she was free Leon sat next to her on the ground and licked the blood off his fingers. It didn’t exactly stop it, but it was worth a try. “Sherry… I will keep you alive, alright? No matter what.” Without letting her speak he just wrapped his arms around her and almost dragging her towards him. It was somehow a hug, but also just comfort for him to calm down. Pushing away a bit he looked at her eyes and smiled weakly. “I got you.”
"Thank you," the blonde muttered as Leon freed her. She wanted to check her ankle but was suddenly dragged over the dirt and found herself in his arms. If it wasn't for the blood dripping off her fingers, she would've returned the gesture but for now she just smiled at his words. With a sigh she cleaned her hands a bit on her shirt before gently pushing his hair out of his face. "I'm glad you got me." She believed he would keep his words. He could tell her anything and she would probably believe it.Â
Sherry decided to stay in Leon's arms just a little longer so her wounds could heal. Taking his hand in hers she cleaned the blood of his fingers before raising her voice. "I'm missing Rick... Give me his number when we manage to get back home?" She grinned up to him. It was just a small joke to break the tension a bit. Slowly she moved out of Leon's arms and got up. "Let's go on. Maybe my blood attracts some animals." Before following Leon she looked down to the barbwire. It was still full with her blood but it could be useful. Carefully she picked it up with her fingertips. Â
Once they walked through the jungle again, Sherry drew her attention again towards finding water but stayed with Leon for a while first. They walked in silence, both didn't want to scare any animals away. After some time she tapped Leon on the shoulder to get his attention. "I'm walking a bit away from here. Maybe I'm luckier in that direction." The blonde noticed his face and smiled softly. "Don't worry, I'll watch my step this time and make sure to not walk too far." Turning away from him with a wink she fell into a slow jogging pace through the jungle. The ground was pretty uneven and Sherry had to do her best to not stumble also she didn't want to step in a trap again. Hearing loud tweeting not too far away she slowed down and followed the noise.Â
Suddenly the tweeting quiet down but Sherry continued her way, looking over her shoulder to check how far she walked away. Soon she should go back, not that she lost Leon. That wouldn't be so great at all. Squeezing herself between two bushes she suddenly stood in water. A source of water, flowing the small hill down into a small lake where a few animals stood around. "I should go and get Leon..." With silent steps the blonde walked backwards, falling back into her jogging pace to get back. She had jogged further away than she meant to. He had also continued his way, so it took her some time to find him between the huge trees.Â
"Hey Leon, I fou- Whoa, put the gun down! It's just me!" It seemed like she had startled the older agent with her sudden appearance. "Sorry, didn't mean to sneak up behind you. Anyway, I've found a water source and there are also a few animals around." She wasn't exactly sure why she was that impatient since they were in no hurry but she just grabbed his sleeve and pulled him with her. At first Sherry had problems to find the right way but found it soon and was able to show it Leon.Â
