Please do not send NSFW asks to Shadow. In this timeline, he was indeed in cryo for 50+ years, but he hasn't aged. He is around 14-16 years old.

This blog is mainly surrounding Stone and Shadow, but is connected to the Robotnik ask blog/rp acc as well ( @doctorr-ivo-robotnik ). However, it isn't completely stuck to it. I am very open to other Robotnik blogs interacting.

We all love silly asks and mischief, but please don't send anything that is over the top weird or uncomfortable.

This blog is not strictly tied to one rp. I have a main rp, but I'm open to any interaction outside of it. In-character tagging is also okay!

I was going to post more or do rp stuff but I keep having crazy visions of the future (started like 3 months ago) and the universe but like im not equipped at all to handle that. Whose dog is outside at this hour??

*He lifts his window and looks outside. His eyes widen as he sees Ozzie.*

Ozzie? What the--

*Shadow looks around. Then, he hops out the window and climbs down to the ground.*

You can't be out here. Your family is going to... oh.

*He carefully unties the letter from Ozzie. Shadow pats Ozzie's head slowly before opening the letter.*

Stone has maddie become like a sister to you?

You could say that.

We've grown very close, despite our husbands hating each other and my husband hating her kids. I do think Shadow and Sonic helped with that a lot, actually. We've been hanging out with each other during their hang outs, and we've definitely created a bond. I'd say, at least. I don't know how close Maddie considers me--I'm sure she has her own group of friends, but I'm not one to have many friends, so I'd call her close.

She's been there for me and Shadow, and I'm very grateful of that. I'm trying to be there for her when she needs me, too.

So, I'd consider her like a sister, yeah. We've obviously had to choose our sides and all, but she's awesome outside of that. Shout out Maddie.

*Maddie, Robotnik, and Stone come running out of the ship. Maddie and Stone run towards Sonic and Shadow while Robotnik grabs the tossed aside inhibitor rings.*

*Stone kneels and looks at Shadow, seeing the dull color of his fur.*

Oh, god.

*He covers his mouth and tries to put space between Sonic and Shadow.*

*Robotnik comes over with the rings in his hand, but he seems distracted by the giant Great Nix now "sleeping" after an explosion that large.*

*Maddie passes Stone a coat to put on Sonic as she opens her bag to grab some tools and starts looking for Shadow's pulse*

I'm gonna try to wake Shadow up, stay back in case he lashes out. If I can dodge a bite from a golden retriever I can dodge a punch from a hedgehog. Ivo, hand me the rings so I can get them back on little man. I don't know what that thing over there might do but I trust you to take care of it and protect us.

*Sonic was weakly fighting Stone’s grip, still crying. He was exhausted though despite the slight golden shimmer to his quills so Stone would easily be able to hold him*

Let me go! Let go I can't lose him! I promised! I promised I would stay beside him!

*Robotnik hands Maddie the rings, then turns and walks over to the Nix. He looks over his shoulder at Shadow occasionally while scanning the burned circle in the ground.*

*Stone hold Sonic tightly with the coat.*

Sonic, you need to be calm about this. Maddie is going to help him.

I'm just as scared as you are, you know.

*He stares at Shadow on the ground before turning to Sonic, attempting to get his mind off of Shadow for just a moment.*

What's up with the yellow? It's obviously not the chaos emeralds or the master emerald at that, or else you'd be completely yellow. Do you know when it happened?

He's got a pulse! I can get him back, I'm gonna get some fluids going for him before I try to wake him up.

*Maddie starts an IV for Shadow, holding the bag in her mouth as she does her best to hold him down with on arm and puts the smelling salts under his nose*

Come on buddy, wake up for me.

*Her voice is muffled by the bag. As she works she keeps an eye on Ivo, she knows Sonic is safe with Stone*

The...the ring. We were running faster than ever and he took fo the inhibitors. He was hurting and I just wanted to make it stop and suddenly I was like this. I don't know why it happened.

*He hugs Stone tightly, crying into his shoulder*

I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I tried to protect him I swear! I just wanted to protect him. We...we gotta stop Robotnik from getting too close. I don't know if what Shads and I did worked. He can run whatever tests he needs on a quill or something but wr gotta get him away from that thing.

*Stone holds Sonic, patting his head.*

It's going to be okay. From what the doctor said, it should go dormant after the whole circle thing. He's doing scans to make sure of it.

Sonic, look. You did good. If it weren't for you, he probably wouldn't even have a chance to come back to life. He would've died without the extra help.

*Robotnik walks over to them, a holographic screen coming from his glove.*

Well, it's asleep, that's for sure. Anything from Shadow?

Maddie says he's got a pulse. She's got a smelling salt and--

*Shadow's body jolts. He gasps loudly, shaking and coughing. He groans weakly.*

*Maddie visibly relaxed when Ivo returned to the group, moving the salts when Shadow jerked and holding him still*

There we go! You're okay buddy, Maddie's got ya. Easy Shadow, you've been through a lot.

*She carefully slipped the coat under his body now that he was awake, putting the rings back on Shadow's wrists*

Ivo grab the juice in my bag, he needs sugar. You're gonna need to help him drink, hold him with one arm and keep his head tilted back with your elbow so he doesn't choke.

*Sonic looked up at Stone's shout, staying curled up against his chest so his mom could work when he saw Shadow moving but reached out to hold his hand*

Shads! It's gonna be okay, it's just my mom. Our parents are here, it's over. We stopped that thing, you did it Shadow. You did it.

*Shadow looked like he tried to speak, but no sound came out as he breathed heavily. His hand rested under Sonic's*

*Robotnik grabs a juice box from Maddie's bag, then kneels beside Shadow before awkwardly picking his head up with one arm and opening the juice box. He gave Shadow some of the juice gently. He seemed to be perplexed almost, as if he doesn't know how to deal with children.*

...you know, I never imagined myself holding a kid like this. He seems to be drinking the juice well, at least.

He looks more orangey today. Weird. His "energy" isn't even orange. It's red or yellow, right? Maybe white. I dunno. I'm not the best father.

*Shadow stops drinking for a minute, then coughs a weak response.*

...the monster... it...

It was draining me of energy... even from that far of a distance back home.

*He stops talking and breathes for a second before sitting up, shaking a little.*

It's... how I knew I had to fight this thing. The red on me comes from my energy, it's not--it's not a fur pattern.

It was easier to hide at first. But it became... too obvious. I thought I could fight it alone.

*There was a silence.*

I suppose I was... wrong.

*Maddie set a gentle hand on Ivo's arm, smiling at him softly*

You're a better father than you think. You knew somethjng was wrong with your kid and your first instinct was to get to him. I know we've had our issues but you and Stone are both good fathers and I'm glad that your kids have both of you in their lives. You're ending that generational trauma Ivo.

*She carefully helps Shaodw sit up, putting the coat on his shoulders and rubbing his arms while being careful of the IV*

You did your best buddy, you did what you thought you had to do and when help came you didn't fight it you accepted it. I've got an IV in you and your dad got your rings so those are back on now kiddo. We're gonna get you both home so you can rest and recover but I think both your dads could use a good heggie hug.

*Sonic stayed quiet where he was curled against Stone, giving Shadow's hand a squeeze before moving to his mom's arms so Stone and Robotnik could hold Shadow*

I'm glad you're awake Shadow, it's gonna be okay I promise. Your dads are here and Mom is the best doctor.

*Robotnik rolled his eyes at the term "heggie hug," but surprisingly kept his mouth shut.*

*Stone put his arms around Shadow.*

You scared the hell out of us, Shadow.

You're gonna have to stay inside for a few days. You got flung like a rag doll out there and your energy levels are dangerously low.

...We're so glad that you're alive Shadow. I know you want to maintain your independent status and push us away sometimes, but we're really here for you. You knew you weren't going to be able to stop it on your own, but you still went out and tried to defeat it. But that doesn't matter now. What matters is that you're alive. And with us.

*Shadow didn't say anything. He stayed still, resting in their arms.*

*There was a calm break before anyone spoke again.*

*Maddie and Sonic watched the little family reunite with smiles, Maddie rubbing her cheek between Sonic's ears as she hugged him tightly for a moment before speaking*

You're grounded too mister. You should have gotten an adult instead of running after Shadow alone. I'm glad you were able to help him but this was an incredibly stupid idea. No leaving Green hills unless it's a family trip, no leaving the property line and that means no going over to the Robotnik's house to hang out with Shadow. And you're coming to work with either me or your dad.

Can I still talk to Shadow on the phone?

*Maddie looks up at Stone and Ivo with a smirk*

What do you two think, do we need to revoke the boys cell phone privileges?

*Robotnik raises a brow and the two look at eachother, then at Shadow. Stone sighs.*

I would say yes, but knowing them, they'd somehow sneak off to see eachother again.

*Robotnik scoffs.*

Reckless, sneaky teenagers.

It'd probably be for the best to let them at least call. Just to keep them out of trouble. But that is it.

*Stone nods to Maddie.*

As long as it's okay with her.

*She lifts Sonic up and onto her hip, he looks a little silly since he's gotten so tall*

*The boarding was a little tight, seeing as two alien hedgehogs are added to the passenger list, but it didn't seem to matter, especially since the ship was so warm.*

*The ship starts to lift.*

I hope you ALL know that this is the most amount of people I will EVER have in here again.

*Gliding through the cold air, the ship makes its way back to Green Hill. Stone whispers to Maddie.*

*Maddie teased the doctor lightly, starting on patching up the boys. Shadow's IV bag was empty so she removed it and the needle before handing him and Sonic some crackers and juice boxes*

*When Stone leaned in to whisper to her she turned, smiling softly and leaned in to give him a tight hug*

I'm glad you came to tell me what was going on. Thank you for coming to get me.

*Sonic nibbled on his crackers, sticking close to Shadow so the other could use him as a head rest*

*Robotnik scoffed and mumbled something about "I'm not the Grinch, MADDIE" while keeping his eyes on the area ahead of him.*

*Shadow rested his head against Sonic, staring forward.*

*He held his hand out and brushed Sonic's quills gently.*

How were you super? Or at least partially super. You didn't have the emeralds. Will that be good for you, that much energy?

*Sonic leaned into the touch, setting down his juice with a hum*

I don't....I don't know how this happened honestly. I saw you getting tired and I just...I got so scared I was gonna lose you again. I don't know if it's a mixture of my energy and yours mixing or if my emotions messed with my chaos energy but all I knew was I had to be right next to you. No matter what.

*Sonic shifted to rub his cheek against Shadow's gently as he watched the adults talking*

I'm glad I was able to be there. You're alive and that's what's important.

Boys when we're gonna be back in Green Hills soon. Put your seat belts on.

*Shadow listened to Maddie and did as she said. The ship then came to a sudden halt, signifying their arrival at the Wachowski household.*

That was... fairly short. For an air vehicle, I mean.

*As Maddie and Sonic got off, Shadow pulled on Sonic's arm a little.*

Sonic. I just... wanted you to know that I'm... I'm sorry. We'll probably not see eachother for at least a month, but... I promise that I'll be more careful.

*Sonic turned and gently laced his fingers with Shadow's own*

The moment I saw you decide to save the world back on the moon I forgave you and when I saw you again facing that thing I knew no matter what happened I'd forgive you. *Robotnik grabs a juice box from Maddie's bag, then kneels beside Shadow before awkwardly picking his head up with one arm and opening the juice box. He gave Shadow some of the juice gently. He seemed to be perplexed almost, as if he doesn't know how to deal with children.*

...you know, I never imagined myself holding a kid like this. He seems to be drinking the juice well, at least.

He looks more orangey today. Weird. His "energy" isn't even orange. It's red or yellow, right? Maybe white. I dunno. I'm not the best father.

*Shadow stops drinking for a minute, then coughs a weak response.*

It was draining me of energy... even from that far of a distance back home.

*He stops talking and breathes for a second before sitting up, shaking a little.*

It's... how I knew I had to fight this thing. The red on me comes from my energy, it's not--it's not a fur pattern.

*She carefully helps Shaodw sit up, putting the coat on his shoulders and rubbing his arms while being careful of the IV*

*Maddie and Sonic watched the little family reunite with smiles, Maddie rubbing her cheek between Sonic's ears as she hugged him tightly for a moment before speaking*

You're grounded too mister. You should have gotten an adult instead of running after Shadow alone. I'm glad you were able to help him but this was an incredibly stupid idea. No leaving Green hills unless it's a family trip, no leaving the property line and that means no going over to the Robotnik's house to hang out with Shadow. *Robotnik raises a brow and the two look at eachother, then at Shadow. Stone sighs.*

I would say yes, but knowing them, they'd somehow sneak off to see eachother again.

*Robotnik scoffs.*

Reckless, sneaky teenagers.

It'd probably be for the best to let them at least call. Just to keep them out of trouble. But that is it.

*Maddie, Robotnik, and Stone come running out of the ship. Maddie and Stone run towards Sonic and Shadow while Robotnik grabs the tossed aside inhibitor rings.*

*Stone kneels and looks at Shadow, seeing the dull color of his fur.*

Oh, god.

*He covers his mouth and tries to put space between Sonic and Shadow.*

*Robotnik comes over with the rings in his hand, but he seems distracted by the giant Great Nix now "sleeping" after an explosion that large.*

*Maddie passes Stone a coat to put on Sonic as she opens her bag to grab some tools and starts looking for Shadow's pulse*

I'm gonna try to wake Shadow up, stay back in case he lashes out. If I can dodge a bite from a golden retriever I can dodge a punch from a hedgehog. Ivo, hand me the rings so I can get them back on little man. I don't know what that thing over there might do but I trust you to take care of it and protect us.

*Sonic was weakly fighting Stone’s grip, still crying. He was exhausted though despite the slight golden shimmer to his quills so Stone would easily be able to hold him*

Let me go! Let go I can't lose him! I promised! I promised I would stay beside him!

*Robotnik hands Maddie the rings, then turns and walks over to the Nix. He looks over his shoulder at Shadow occasionally while scanning the burned circle in the ground.*

*Stone hold Sonic tightly with the coat.*

Sonic, you need to be calm about this. Maddie is going to help him.

*He stares at Shadow on the ground before turning to Sonic, attempting to get his mind off of Shadow for just a moment.*

What's up with the yellow? It's obviously not the chaos emeralds or the master emerald at that, or else you'd be completely yellow. Do you know when it happened?

He's got a pulse! I can get him back, I'm gonna get some fluids going for him before I try to wake him up.

*Maddie starts an IV for Shadow, holding the bag in her mouth as she does her best to hold him down with on arm and puts the smelling salts under his nose*

*Her voice is muffled by the bag. As she works she keeps an eye on Ivo, she knows Sonic is safe with Stone*

The...the ring. We were running faster than ever and he took fo the inhibitors. He was hurting and I just wanted to make it stop and suddenly I was like this. I don't know why it happened.

*He hugs Stone tightly, crying into his shoulder*

I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I tried to protect him I swear! I just wanted to protect him. We...we gotta stop Robotnik from getting too close. I don't know if what Shads and I did worked. He can run whatever tests he needs on a quill or something but wr gotta get him away from that thing.

*Stone holds Sonic, patting his head.*

It's going to be okay. From what the doctor said, it should go dormant after the whole circle thing. He's doing scans to make sure of it.

Sonic, look. You did good. If it weren't for you, he probably wouldn't even have a chance to come back to life. He would've died without the extra help.

Ivo grab the juice in my bag, he needs sugar. You're gonna need to help him drink, hold him with one arm and keep his head tilted back with your elbow so he doesn't choke.
