I jump slightly in my chair when I hear tapping on my window, knocking me out of my imaginary world. Sighing I close my notebook full of random shit.

The boy on the other side of the window taps on the glass again.

I go open the window to see the boy that lives next door that I love with my entire heart .

"Oh Romeo, have you come to take me away?" I joke, speaking in a posh british accent; which is shit.

He's sitting on the strongest branch closest to my bay window I like to look out to see the waves repeatedly crash on to the shore and go back like nothing happened, just to begin again. Just like when Derek and I have a moment.

"Why yes Juliet, now can you help me in?" he says, going along with my joke.

I roll my eyes, reaching for his extended hand, pulling him into my crystal blue room that reminds me of his beautiful eyes.

"So, what are you doing here Derek?" I ask, crossing my arms, standing in front of him sitting on my bed.

"What can I not visit my best friend?" he says standing up, towering over me and my short five foot tall structure.

I raise one eyebrow, giving him that questionable look that has yet to not make him crack.

"Okay fine, I saw Nick being the ass he is in the hallway outside Ms. Tyler's class. Fucking with you,"

I shift my gaze to the floor, my mismatched polka dot socks becoming very interesting.

"Nora I told you not to let anyone treat you like that. I swear if he does that one more time I'll -"

"I'm fine, I don't want you to get suspended or ruin your reputation." I mumble still staring at my shoes.

Derek lifts my chin up to meet his beautiful eyes. "I know this might sound very cliche and cheesy," I feel my mouth involuntary curling into a smile and the area close to my hazel eyes begin to scrunch up as I let out a small giggle.

"I'd get my reputation ruined and get suspended a million times for you to be happy."

"Nora, dinners ready I made enough for Derek too I knew he'd be over he always is." I shift my socks around on the wooden floor, almost slipping due to the fact that they are new and slide on the floor quite easily.

Derek coughs awkwardly then yells back, "Thank you Mrs. Brooks, but I have to get going."

"Okay, but please use the front door. I don't want you falling from that tree and breaking your neck."

I blush like crazy while we walk down the spiral staircase side by side.

"See you later, don't let Nick push you around." Derek says, then walks out the door.
