Every new year I try to get a self portrait done, so this year it's in watercolor which I haven't touched in a while. Fun diving back into it! Featuring hydrangeas in my hair, (I've got so many of them pressed in books, I'm figuring out what to do with them) and the necklace my boyfriend gave me for Christmas. I originally drew this BTTF fanart for the Inktober challenge last year. Then I got the idea to try to silk screen print it and give it some color. It's not perfect, (I had many a problems printing this sucka which has now turned into valuable learning experiences) but I feel satisfied it's done and out of the way.

My very first silk screen print made with my setup at home. Pretty proud of myself! He's a good little size 5x7" and 6 colors. :) Now to keep going!

I never understood why a girl is always suppose to be that ride or die chick that stays with a man and helps him build and become the man she deserves but a guy is never told to stay with a woman while she finds herself. A guy will always look for that perfect woman but we are suppose to settle for a building project?! Fuck that.

I so wholeheartedly love the generation of women coming up in this world. The realization that you are all stars of your own story and not a supporting actress in a mans is so important.
