rewatching the jack of hearts game and it's so interesting how obvious the jack seems when you know what happens. i love it when a piece of media is able to plant all the clues before you're actually able to string it together. no shot is unintentional, chishiya even tells ippei (and the audience) this...

nothing frustrates me more than when people conflate characters being morally bad people with them being badly written characters, a character can be flawed and interesting, a character can be morally reprehensible and exciting to watch. having a fucked up fave doesn't mean you are justifying the actions within a fictional text. critical thinking skills PLEASE 👏🏻

okay i agree we were robbed of chishiya's eyeliner in season 2 HOWEVER, the fact he's no longer wearing any once he's left the beach implies that chishiya as a person does put on his little eyeliner everyday and it's not just a part of his cool manga character design.
