What if your favourite album released in 2026 so far??????
TAYLOR SWIFT in London (12 August 2026)
taylor went to tiktok and made them change their policy so that any artist can request a removal of their songs from a specific account
first listen thoughts
end of kiss me verse 2 !!!!!!!!!
"we could try to make it all the way out"
sense of space !!!!!! there's a depth to the production and a specific kind of like reverb/echo throughout the album that makes it feel very big, like it's happening in a huge empty hall
"if this is my curse i'll let it ride" / "petal in the pavement"
stay just makes me sad. production is v cool.
oh well has a pace to it. but also feels kinda cyclical, the way it wobbles in and out.... also makes me sad.
power fantasies EVERYWHERE
"i wish someone could hear me"
"extra extra buy one take me"
there is a father figure by taylor swift everywhere for those with eyes to see
"all of this time i've been wasting" i think i've seen this film before .
great closing track
my favorite ariana album and it is NOT close
Not to be snobby/elitist but influencers need to remain in their own separate lane and I’ve never been more serious about that… you are not a real music critic because you review albums on your popular YouTube channel, in the same way I’m not looking at the top Goodreads reviews or going on booktok for genuine literary criticism. I saw some quote recently from an influencer who was interviewing celebrities on a red carpet and she said something along the lines of “fans want to see people like us talking to their favs as if we were their friends!” and it’s like…okay? But I actually want interviews with actual trained reporters, too. Which is not to say there’s no value in some of what influencers are doing…The woman who asks celebs silly, low stakes questions over takeout chicken is a cute addition to any press cycle. But she’s not a reporter, and what she’s doing is not actual journalism. Influencers with huge platforms should feel proud of themselves for building something that clearly resonates with people, but for any of them to claim to be “top of the field,” above people with like, actual education and qualifications and years of experience at their job, is just ludicrous. You are the natural successor to the Buzzfeed listicle. You are not “the only relevant music critic today.” Be so fucking serious.
everytime someone whacks fantano an angel gains its wings
happy birthday to midnights the album that came out just as i was crash landing in a pit of depression i'm still clawing my way out of! sometimes listening to dear reader still makes me feel like i'm going to throw up!
today is my first day at the job tayvoodoo got me 😌
I DON'T EVEN GET THE FLU ANYMORE!!! WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!!!!
the way the eldest daughter bridge is basically an answer to “are there still beautiful things?”
THE ANSWER IS YES!!!!!!!!
all of showgirl is actually just about taylor choosing to be an active participant in her own life
now that it’s been 10 days of showgirl, reblog and tag with the lyric you think is the thesis of the album
MY ADVICE IS ALWAYS ANSWER THE QUESTION
something something taylor talking about being so disciplined & careful as a teenager, the cautious discretion lyric in eldest daughter, the contrast between wildness as a theme on rep - ttpd & the way she talked about loosening up re: the infamous convertible moment
legitimately having a mental breakdown. you don't understand. one of my all time worst memories/turning points in my life was someone telling me to be patient when i was sixteen and now i just want to scream at that version of myself 'no other life is waiting for you. you're already running out of time. your entire world is going to end in two years and you'll regret making yourself an island forever.' what the fuck taylor what the fuck !!
