Optimus squints at Rodimus, his frame still tense from being sat on. His audials slowly stop twitching, and once they do he crosses his arms. The digits on his right hand begin to tap on his arm as he thinks, still staring at the smaller mech.

- “Fine,” he says with a sigh.

Though he has refilled not too long ago, he feels the need to indulge the other bot. Even if Rodimus can be a pain sometimes, Optimus shouldn’t be rude.

Rodimus smiles as Optimus takes the cube as he sips his own. Jumping onto a nearby crate, he makes himself comfortable. “So OP, what’s haps?”

Optimus sips at his cube. It tastes a little sour, however he ignores it and continues sipping. After a moment he stops and rests the cube in both hands. He walks over to a wall and leans on it, watching Rodimus sip at his own cube.

- “Nothing too grand. However, I am continuing working with others on Cybertron as well as Earth in hopes that the humans join our Council of Worlds. The humans…. aren’t too keen at the moment.”

He takes a sip of his energon cube before returning the question.

- “What about you, Rodimus?”

Rodimus looks confusingly at the older Prime before going back to his cube. It tasted a little weird and he pulled a face. “Is it just me, or is this energon a bit… funny?” he looked at Optimus.

“Well, keep at it. I’m sure you can make it.” he leaned back against the wall, fiddling with his cube. “I’m not too sure… Everything’s in a mess right now.”

Optimus gives a small nod, looking down at his cube. He gives it a swirl. It doesn’t look unusual. It’s the regular blue with a dash of engex pink.

- “Slightly, but it’s alright. Anyways, thank you Rodimus, your support is helpful.”

The Prime glances down at his energon cube before staring intently at Rodimus. The other mech’s answer was a little concerning.

- “How so?”

“No prob, pops. Least I could do. I mean, Primes gotta stick together, am I right?” he smiled.

The younger mech groaned, offlining his optics. “It’s just… There’s been so much chaos and just being caught up in it… Only afterwards to you get the time to mourn, d’ya know what I’m sayin’?” he said in a quiet voice.

He onlines his optics again, looking suspiciously at the energon. “Hey, do you think something’s wrong with this? I think it’s like, tainted or something…”

Optimus nods again.

- “Yes, you are correct. And I understand what you are saying.”

He gives his energon cube a glance, furrowing his bows.

- “It doesn’t look strange, however it tastes a little sour. Maybe it was left somewhere odd…”

“EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWW!!!” he cried out in disgust, squirming and throwing the half-full energon cube across the room, where it smashed onto the ground, the glass shattering everywhere and energon going all over.

“….SHIT.” he cursed, going over to the mess.

His audio receptors twitch in annoyance.

- “Rodimus!”

Optimus runs over to the mess as well, setting his cube down on the ground. He begins picking up the glass piece by piece.

- “Please go get a broom and towel if you please.”

Rodimus looked at him skeptically as he picked up the glass. “Optimus stop; you’re gonna get cut. Just leave it be; I’ll handle the mess.” he went out to the maintenence closet, grabbing a broom and a rag and running quickly back to the room, starting to clean it up.

He set the rag aside and swept up all the glass shards and discarded them, then kneeled down to start wiping up the tainted energon. “I’m sorry, Optimus,” he apologized as he discarded of the rag as well. “It was my fault.”

Optimus had paid no mind to the younger’s words before he left. He continued picking up the glass as carefully as he could. Minimal damage was done, a few small cuts but nothing more.

When Rodimus came back he put the glass shards on the dust pan and held it for the mech to sweep it up.

- “It’s alright, Rodimus... Though I would prefer next time something does not agree with you you place it down, not throw it across the room.

Verity looked around then snuck into primes office thinking it was side swipes. she bought out of her subspace a giant version of a whoops cussion and sat it on his chair, "paint me pink while I'm sleeping." she whipped herself then took off with her jets hiding under the desk snickering,

Optimus walks into the room a few moments later. He has been taking stock for the past hour. With a sigh he walks to the other side of his desk to sit down. He thinks about how glad he is back to be in his office just as he sits.

The Prime jumps out of his seat and falls on the floor, cursing as it happens. He stares at the chair wide-eyed. What in the name of Cybertron just happened?

The human cracked up laughing running out the pointed, “I got you sidesw- oh…. scrap..hey….poptimus…” verity palmed her face, “sorry…” her face turned red a small smile grey on her face laughing still, “oh sorry… that was meant for sideswipe I got the wrong room”

Optimus turns to stare at the girl, his optics still wide. His hand is over his spark, the small thing still beating rapidly from the scare. He stares at her for a moment before he lets out a laugh.

- “No worries! Just a small fright. Though I do think Sideswipe might have thought it more enjoyable they I.”

He smiles under his mask. Though practical jokes are usually not his cube of energon, this was rather humorous.

Verity pressed her lips together but it did little to hide the smile on the girls face she cracked into a giggle fit, “the way you jumped though… have you never been pranked before? well with harmless ones.”

The Prime shakes his head.

- “Not very much, though the several times I had been pranked they hadn’t been… very harmless.”

The last time he had been pranked was a little over a million years ago. The bot who had done it regretted it afterwards.

Verity nodded once then activated her jets picking up the whoopy and started folding it, “oh- well then” she subspaced it then flew over, “but I am sorry for startling you..”

Optimus shrugs and begins his ascend to standing again. His legs are slightly shaky but he ignores it. He looks at the girl, optics crinkling in a smile.

- “It is alright, Verity. No harm done.”

Verity flew up keeping eye level with him then landed on his shoulder, “okay.. hey is landing on bots shoulders rude..” she tilted her head,

The Prime furrows his brows, head turning to get a better look at the human.

- “Rude? What would give you that impression?”

The mech is slightly concerned. He himself wouldn’t consider it rude. If the girl needs to get to a better height with her friends then he doesn’t see the problem. However, that is just his opinion.

“not many mechs and femmes like it they’d rather look down on me or would…rather me be punted back to earth.” she shuffled her feet slightly

Optimus tenses.

- “They are wrong. You have the right to stay here as well as be treated as an equal. You are as much of a person as everybody else on this planet is. Your size or your fragility should not define your place here.”

He’s annoyed, agitated. Humans are just as sentient as any Cybertronian. They are people just as much as his own species. Humans are a wonderful and fascinating species, and Verity even more so. He does not completely understand why they would treat her so.

Verity shrugged slightly, “And I k ow just about every thing about you guys and how to fix ya”

The Prime nods in agreement.

- “Yes, you do. You are a great help to us, medically and knowledgeably. Though it is every Cybertronian’s to speak their mind, it does not mean they should. All I can say though is to keep your head high and ignore them. Do not let them degrade you like that. You are a kind and intelligent person and do not let them say otherwise. If you need to get to their height to talk to them, do so.”

Though he wishes to say more on this matter he isn’t sure if he should. If he did it might turn into more of a lecture.

Verity looked away slightly, “Yeah… you have four million years to build up a hide to people and insults. I have a good… thirty years… twenty five… even less if some bot decides I’m better a smear on the floor then any assistance.”

The Prime frowns under his mask.

- “Do not talk like that, Verity. You shouldn’t let others get you like this and degrade your self-worth. Those Cybertronians aren’t worth your time or health in any way.”
