“So what do you think the deal is now—“ Jennifer finally spoke up, sitting at the counter of the diner as she watched the news play out before her, subtitles replacing the volume of the television. “Is the world supposed to be waiting for another attack? Are we even prepared?” She turned to look at the person next to her, curious of their opinion. “Just wondering.” She added, merely to wave off suspicion.
“Uh — “ Clint said between mouthfuls of fries. He hadn’t given a lot of thought into what the world was feeling about attacks, and whether or not they were prepared. Things had changed a lot, he empathized with the public, and he was giving shelter to all the displaced returned… But yeah, he was a little selfish, not worrying about how panicked they were. “I think we’d be prepared, yeah,” Clint said after a minute. “We got a lot of heroes ready to fight and some armies left, but hopefully the villains’ll give us time to regroup.” He paused before asking, “What’d’you think?”
Terra was a weird place ― and that was a lot coming from someone who had travelled everywhere in the galaxy. Although Quill’s birthplace, most of its culture was a mistery and the man was struggling to get a hold on everything. For that exact reason, he quickly walked to the other person; He had texted them a few minutes earlier, but was unsure if they’d show up. ❝ Oh good, you got my dick message! But there’s no time to small talk… Tell me, who’s Starbucks and why is everyone obsessed with him? Or her. Whatever, the point is, should I be worried or something? ‘Cuz you know… Star-Bucks. Star-Lord. What should I do?! ❞
Peter wasn’t really the kind of guy that Clint expected to be friends with. It wasn’t a personality clash issue, but a whole ‘he’s an alien’ issue. Ever since Loki, Clint hadn’t trusted aliens, and he figured that was more than fair. Maybe a little judgmental, especially given his affiliation with Thor and some of the otherworldly Avengers. Magic also made Clint uneasy, but that a whole other issue. The point was, Peter was unexpected, but in a good way. He was a great friend! A real riot! “Dude, are you calling text messages dick messages?” Clint asked, raising his eyebrows. “Yeah, Starbucks is a real hero,” he deadpanned. “You may need to fight Starbucks for the Star title, man. I’m worried he’ll take all the attention you deserve. You have any qualms with that?”
✩ ★ ✩ ― The new world has just begun and CLINT BARTON is here to embrace it. Civilians have seen HAWKEYE running with the AVENGERS. He is THIRTY FOUR and WAS NOT slain by Thanos. He has been defined as ADAPTIVE and LOYAL by admirers and ANTI AUTHORITARIAN and AVOIDANT by critics. How will he fair after the war has ended? (Rami Malek/cis male/he/him) (Ali/21/she/her/PST)
Hello everyone welcome to my Clint intro
So my Clint is gonna be largely comic based because the MCU… dropped the ball… to say the least…
Clint grew up in Waverley, Iowa with his mom, dad and brother. His father was an abusive alcoholic and it was Not pretty. Barney taught Clint how to fight back and helped improve his aim.
Eventually, Clint’s parents died in a car accident and this lead the boys to a travel circus (the Circus of Crime). Clint and Barney joined and Clint was trained further by Swordsman and Trick Shot who highkey manipulated Clint. He obviously was also a criminal during this time.
When Clint fucked up and witnessed Swordsman embezzling money, Clint was beaten badly and left for dead, which ultimately left Clint deaf.
A lost dude with archery skills and not much else, Clint ended up with SHIELD and became a super spy! He employed his expert aim there for years and became a pretty high ranking agent. He was also married during this time, but it did Not work out At All and he’s still kinda going through that unfortunate process. He has some pent up self hatred.
Clint also joined the Avengers which always messes with his head because he’s just a dude with great aim! He’s fought with them for years duh.
Fast forward to Age of Ultron. Clint’s “family” was actually just a mission from SHIELD and a cover story okay. Just let me have this. But he did genuinely care about them!
In actuality, Clint is broke AF.
He wasn’t in the battle against Thanos originally because Clint was on a very srs SHIELD mission.
During the snap, when Clint’s cover fam snapped away, he was devastated and this lead to his mental breakdown as Ronin where he tried to “even things out” and make the world a little better through vengeance. He still kinda feels guilty about it, but also doesn’t regret it. Barney was also killed in the Snap which furthered Clint’s breakdown.
After defeating Thanos, Clint still feels high key guilty about everyone lost. He’s still a superhero, still an Avenger, but he’s also trying to help out some normal people. This lead to him buying an apartment building and making enemies out of the Tracksuit Mafia. (Literally gangsters who wear Tracksuits). We’re doing Fraction Hawkeye here people!
Clint is currently suffering from depression, like not doing good at all, but he’s making a show of it.
