best thing to have near you on a snowy night is a fluffy friend.
wow haha yeah imagine being on tumblr lol i for one could never
i just know linh would play volleyball if she was a human. i have no evidence to support this but i know it deep in my bones
If I were Linh I would have snapped already. All your friends are like "we trust Oralie and Bronte" and then they're two of the people who looked you in the eyes when you were 11 and exiled you.
iiiiiiii should go to bed but all i can think about is Linh Song singing
actually im obsessed with the idea of her being completely average and a little imperfect
what if she makes up silly little songs as she walks around doing things like she's the main character in a musical and they're not very good and they're not super pretty but she likes them and they bring her joy
what if its a habit from when she'd spend nearly all her time alone and she never let go of it and now its just how she goes about her time when she's by herself, singing a song like she's seven years old and her voice is all chipped around the edges and she's not the perfect musician her parents think she ought to be but no one is listening to her silly little songs and no one is paying attention and then one day she's walking around solreef and like tam and wylie are sitting in the kitchen and they both just smile at each other like that's what linh does when she's happy and she's happy right now
im never letting the sandal gag go to rest.
"Ivan Goncharov" this, "Nikolai Goncharov" that, when will you guys realize there's a reason we don't know his first name. the POINT is that we don't know. Goncharev is a family name and whoever Goncharov used to be totally went up in being the head of the Family. he doesn't HAVE a personal name to denote who he is outside of his mafia persona.
Terik, age 15, incredibly desperate to not be talentless: But wait!! I can sense.... Your vibes!!!
The entire elven world: Seems legit
Do you think we'll ever get an explanation for the Vacker's accent? Like, why are they British? No one else is
Yeah Kenric kinda implies in book 1 that it's a universal accent, but then it only gets mentioned in relation to those five. like that's one of their defining traits when they enter a scene Sophie will mention it but it's not even like every family has an accent?? its weird idk
"Yeah we have a universal accent except these five who are from england,"
Six. Sophie has the accent too.
I like- really want to know if the rest of the elves have accents and what they sound like. But what if like- a whole exilium accent?
Part of this might be smoke inhalation, but a lot of the Neverseen have similar voices, so there might be some accents forming among banished elves and those who interact with them.
Maybe it's because Sophie's a polyglot. She only recognizes accents if it's really pronounced. Maybe the Vackers straight up are speaking Olde English or with a thick Scottish accent and Sophie classifies it as English because her Polyglot talent is doing the rest?
In the end, Goncharov IS the discourse. Goncharov exists, maybe not as a physical movie, but as a puzzle, with some pieces missing, and no box. It's an idea, just like any other story. It will be studied for the effect it had on a culture we all share.
It will never be Gon. I'm charov it.
Them ❤️
anyway i think we all know who the true best character in Goncharov (1973) is
