I've been wanting to ask for awhile but how on earth do you make those gifs where a character is cut out and then you add a lovely background??

0h, I made one long ago but the file is nowhere to be found :( . My english is not good enough to make a tutorial again. But I'll try my best to explain.

You have described it yourself. I choose a scene, and I cut the image (layer by layer) obviously the longer the chosen scene lasts, the more complex it will be. Then I move that group to a background. The background of the image can be any of your choice (even another gif). For example, this and this one.
