The past week still doesn't feel real - after a years worth of hard work me and 14 incredible volunteers finally made our way across the globe to volunteer legal services in Central America and I couldn't have asked for a better result! From educational workshops to legal clinics we managed to reach some of the most disadvantaged and indigenous communities in Yaviza who would have otherwise gone unrepresented or bankrupt to pay extortionate legal fees. You can never expect to walk into a community and change the way they think about the law in just a few days but here's hoping we impacted the lives of those we assisted in a meaningful way. Thank you to Global Brigades who will ensure the work we started is seen through to completion, to the community of Yaviza who so kindly welcomed us, to Senafront who kept us safe throughout the journey, to the volunteers who trusted me to bring them half way across the world and worked incredibly hard to get there too, and to everyone who donated, encouraged and supported us. On a selfish note I've had the time of my life getting to know the community and the volunteers! I can't stress enough the importance of doing work like this so if you have the means, get out there and do it, I promise you won't regret it 🇵🇦 ❤ (at Pinogana, Darien, Panama)
