On the morning of October 13th, we woke up to a devastating explosion that shook our neighborhood. As we searched through the rubble for survivors, we heard the faint voice of my younger brother calling from beneath the debris of a nearby house. He was pulled out with partial memory loss and a skull fracture, and every day since, he has endured his pain in silence. The doctors have stressed the urgent need for surgery to remove the shrapnel lodged in his head, but this operation can only be performed abroad.

A child like any other child, was playing and having fun in the alleys of the refuge camp that we he was displaced to
