Et puis au fil des lectures, des rencontres, des discussions j’ai fini par voir ce derme qui prenait une couleur, un nom, une histoire .

Noire. Une culture vivide, travaillée au corps.

The people I've had on my mind for weeks must've felt it because the texts and emails were coming at me nonstop this weekend. Solid plans were made and I'm looking forward to seeing their much-missed faces and hearing their stories. I put a lot of thought into choosing my family, but sometimes need to nudged into keeping them close. Social awkwardness, even with those who've embraced me, is going to remain that perpetual hump for me to get over.
