until you made her cry so hard that she forgot there was ever light. you scarred her life with broken memories and darkened her days with your absense.

she loved you so completely that it consumed her. but when you become someone's world you just as certainly become their downfall.

☾a glimpse of my senses☽

all it took was a glimpse of our future and i was sold on you:

i pictured coming home to our quaint cottage to find you messy haired with the sleeves of your button up pushed back to your elbows as you delved deeper into one of those oh, so creative projects you're always working on.i heard the sweet sound of your voice greeting me before explaining every detail of what you're doing as i listen intently, smiling at how every word is laced with such passion.i felt one of your arms wrap around my waist to pull me close as you press a kiss to my temple, just then i smelt the comforting fragrance i've grown to associate with you. i tilt my head up to meet your beautiful brown eyes, convinced i'm going to get lost in your perfection. but i pull you in by your shirt collar, finally tasting the sweetness of your lips. i was only truly home once i was by your side.

it was a glimpse into what can only be described as a magical, fairytale of a future. except this one didn't have a happy ending. just as i reached up to claim our future it dissolved between my fingertips, never to exist outside of my imagination.
