I love FB, if solely to remind me of these gems. Nine years ago,@socksintoobs and I went to Hickam and essentially just watched @thewickedwasabi skate the entire time, as you do. I, myself, vaguely waddled back & forth at the bottom. It went well. And that is the extent of my skateboarding abilities. Can't risk it now. I don't have enough ankles. Miss you sillies. #throwback

I am full of fuck ups & can-do-betters. And Mom has always willingly called me on them. But she always encouraged me to keep moving, keep progressing. When we had the same day off, we used to joke that we'd meet for lunch 4,000 miles apart. Sometimes when we try to hang up the phone, we both say "bye" continuously until we both giggle, because no one hangs up! The distance hurts on most days. I get to see her be Grandma to Liam & the sheer joy it brings to the both of them is mesmerizing. And I'm glad I get to witness it all. And I can't stop crying & I don't know what's wrong with me. Ha. If you get to see your mom today, give her big hugs, k?

Found this gem on my phone from last night. Thanks, @momartinez. @loudernowband (@keatonob @daveycarlson) played all our fave throwback jams & we screamed along to everything. I pushed @dlinsyann into the pseudo mosh a few times for funsies. And even @midge_madge yelled that she knew a couple songs. We swung our heads back & forth & quite frankly, I haven't had that much fun at a show in a long time.
