lol so queenie survives through coven just to get killed by James for like no reason. like oh Ramona needs to kill someone lets just connect the seasons by just adding queenie? like wtf like I get that the seasons are supposed to connect but that seemed a little unnecessary. I feel like they could’ve connected deeper like Elsa and Dr Arden’s back stories ya know. oh and Ramona didn’t even kill the countess tf like why are you bragging about witch blood if you’re not even gonna use it to kill her and just screw her. oh and so ramonas been plotting revenge for like 30 years and she just gets seduced in like three minutes? sorry I just needed to rant ab this episode uGH

Gabby was added bc Emma couldn’t be added in. I believe he chose Emma because he already had her working on a project at the time and it would be easier to chase her around as opposed to Gabby who is working on something different entirely (Empire). But Scream Queens got in the way so they added Queenie.

And the thing is, Ryan never really writes black-and-white characters, which a lot of people consider good, bc emotional and complex villains are good. but i wouldn’t mind a 100% black-and-white evil villain. I mean, Ramona was heavily scarred by the Countess, i would’ve loved it if in the backstory Ramona shed all of her feelings and became totally hellbent on the revenge.

I actually thought the Elsa/Arden connection was good bc it made sense and provided for a good connection, similar to the Charles/Countess connection. It provided for a good transition into Freak Show and the Coutness is very maternal, so the abortion thing worked well. But we never dwelled deep into Arden’s psychology.

However I did like this episode. One of my favorites of the season. But I feel like Ryan is favoring gore over horror. Like that scene with Sally and the other two and Sally with the teeth. But Miss Evers is honestly out of her fucking mind they should have played her up more.

Yeah I'm kinda half and half with this episode. I really like having more of Sally's backstory and learning a little bit about the demon following her around. I also like how the Ten Commandments killings finished with a bang. but I feel like this episode was so focused on the countess, which I get, but it's the episode before the season finale. I feel like they could've just had the countess die from Liz and Iris in the episode before and made this episode start to tie up all the loose ends from this season. OH and I totally thought that John and Sally were going to stay in love and he would decide to stay at the Cortez and that for the last commandment he would kill himself because he's a murderer and he'd be with Sally forever. I can see why they brought gabby in but I feel like the connection with coven was weak. Maybe Cordelia and the coven will come and burn down the Cortez in the final episode for revenge haha. and literately the day Lady Gaga posted a video saying season five was hotel I stole this name lmao.
