Ahwooga Is Now Free To Sell Parts On

We are taking Ahwooga on a new and positive growing path. For the next couple of years we offering the marketplace totally FREE!!!  That’s right you will no longer pay one cent for the use of Ahwooga. Our resigned sellers page  has all the information  on it.

Over the next week or two our customers may be contacted by one of our staff members to see if there is anything we can help you with for your Ahwooga store, If you have not been on the site lately now is the time to come aboard and grow with us totally FREE.

Our main goal has always been to have an automotive site large enough to compete with the majors that has the flexibility sellers need. The only way to do this is to have the parts on Ahwooga that buyers are looking for.

Our staff can either re-activate your listings already within our database or we can re-duplicate your listings you have on eBay currently.

We also have big plans for SEMA this November. We are very excited of the new changes and hope to chat to you soon.

The Sema show was a great success for Ahwooga

The Staff at Ahwooga spent last week in Las Vegas as an exhibitor at the 2010 Sema show. Not only did we meet at ton of new people very interested in listing items on the site, we also met a bunch of existing customer. How great it was to put faces to names.We put pictures up of most of them on the Ahwooga Facebook page. Stay tuned for the site to start growing very rapidly. Ahwooga Make It Even More Affordable to Sell Your Car Parts

In preparation for the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the core staff at Ahwooga HQ sat down to map out our plans for the show. As usual our conversations turn to discussions about long-term goals and ultimately, how do we take care of our sellers as the site continues to grow. This encompassed two phases, rewarding existing customers for their loyalty and recruiting new members. So after some kicking, screaming, arm wrestling and name calling we all agreed on a new, less expensive and simpler pricing structure. Existing customers account levels have already been adjusted to the new accounts and all are either going to be saving money or able to list higher quantities for the same amount. Some of our customers actually benefited both ways, and that made us feel pretty good. Next week we will be at SEMA, having fun and getting the word out about the site. We hope our efforts bring many many new members on board and we're glad we were able to do something to take care of our existing members too. Vintage Auto Parts Get New Sub Categories on Ahwooga.com

 Over the last few weeks we have updating the categories  in our Vintage Auto Parts. The main categories effected were; Vintage Auto Parts > Fuel System and Vintage Auto Parts > Suspension & Steering Both of these were top level and did not have sub-categories and they were becoming hard to navigate with the amount of products they had in them. The staff at Ahwooga HQ moved the products into the correct sub level categories already. Here are what they look like now with the new Sub categories in place. Free Car Show Listings on Ahwooga.com

Classified ads have been an important part of Ahwooga since it's launch. Now we have made 3 Top level categories of classifieds "Free" The Top Level Categories are ;

Services- All

Wanted - Products and Services

Classifieds are able to have up to 8 images and full descriptions the same as our auctions or fixed priced listings and all are indexed and viewable though searches. These ads are going to give businesses that our in our market a way to promote the service they provide right along an already strong base of product listings. For shows, local and national event can have a global presence. To post a a free ad in these categories, you need to be logged in and choose sell. If you don not need a membership, choose "No Thanks" at the bottom and then you will be taken to the beginning of of the select a category to list in. On the last listing page you will need to pick the duration of the classified ad. The pull down bar defaults to 30 days, please change this to 90 days and your ad will be free!! We hope you take advantage of this cool option.

We have really been picking up speed at Ahwooga

  As always we have been keeping a close eye on the progress of our young site. Ahwooga just turned 7 months old and is continue to pick up speed and momentum.

In previous  post to this blog I have shared the things that our team has done to improve upon the site. As always, I will also thank the buyers and sellers that have provide valuable input that really helps us make good decisions.

I would like to review some facts about the last 30 days that have created some smiles for us.

The last 30 days represents 14% of the sites life. Below are stats from the last 30 days as a percentages of the last 7 months.

New Members – 24.2%

Number of Sales – 27.4%

Dollars in Sales – 43.8%

Visitors to the site –  23.3%

The first 4 days of August are exceeding these stats.

One of the only thing we can’t track is telephone calls from buyers looking at listings. I truly hope all of our vendors are too busy to ask every caller “how did you come across my products”. But with over 90,000 listings with phone number to the vendors, phone calls must be coming in.

Just for the record, our team is going to continue to be as aggressive if not more in growing the site and doing what we can to benefits both the buyers and sellers that use our site. The Chicken and the Ahwooga Egg

Before we launched Ahwooga.com, we knew we needed to first have parts for people to find so they could purchase items from our sellers.  In order to make sales we needed items, in order to get people to list items we needed sales.  We call this our Chicken-Egg Theory.  

It took some time for the site to gather enough momentum and find it’s way into the massive number of searches online, but it became clear to us early on, that our theory was correct.  As more and more items got listed, the traffic to those listings increased and what followed was sales for those sellers.

The sellers that have promoted themselves in social media networks and forums and even to buyers that have come to them from other marketplaces have seen great gains.  The sellers that have just included a little note that says “You can find the same and similar items in my Ahwooga.com store.” are benefiting from the “no final sales fees” and other strengths of the site.

As the number of listings continues to grow, we are sure this trend will continue.  Which came first…the listing or the sale?  Well in the case of Ahwooga.com, that is a question we no longer have to ask.  Now that we are over 50,000 items listed in four and a half months we are seeing consistent traffic and sales increases. The site is working just like we thought it would.  We see this as the beginning of a growth period that both buyers and sellers will benefit from.

I AM AHWOOGA is live!

When we first started developing Ahwooga many many moons ago, one of the first ideas we had was to film people and their cars saying "I AM AHWOOGA" .  We thought it would be cool to show how diverse the site would be and also just a fun way to share some of the fun that is us. Well, as we went through the development process the idea never died and we are thrilled to announce that it has evolved and blossomed into what we feel is jut a great way to share with Facebook and all the cool car folk that are there. It's a pretty simple concept.  If you're on Facebook, join the I AM Ahwooga group and then upload a picture of you and your car/truck/bike etc.....or if you're camera shy like me, just your vehicle.  It's like a car show online.  We will do a few videos showing the diversity and we will also give out prizes and stuff and also we have a few other fun plans. It's great to see the growth as the group has over 375 members in less than 4 days and more than that, it's great to see people interacting with each other through the group.  On some of the forums we sponsor it's been awesome to see forum members sharing their Facebook names and connecting.  Very social...very Ahwooga...very cool. I was reviewing the Fees for selling cars on other sites

Let me start this by stating we fully believe in multi channel sales efforts. With that in mind, here is our cost structure for listing a vehicle. Non-Member sellers - $1.00 for a 30 day listing. Member Level sellers - $0.00 for a 30 day listing as long as they don't exceed the number of listings. To get rotating front page exposure - $5.00 For upgrade prices - Link So the most you will pay to list a car is $6.00. If you have a car listed on another site, you can compliment your online marketing with a listing here to increase your success of selling it for a very low expense. If you are a dealer with 150 cars on your lot, it would cost you $50.00 prior to any voluntary upgrades to list your entire inventory to a global market. Just a thought. With the price increases that are going into effect on other sites very soon, plan on seeing more cars listed on Ahwooga.com. At the beginning of everyday I log into Google analytics to see all of the interesting things that are happening to the site. One of the coolest things I look at, is the map overlay. Here are some stats for the short period the site has been live; Countries -  70 Cities World Wide - 2192 Cities US - 1854 Visitors from Wyoming - Big Fat Goose Egg!! Please help remedy this.

Today was a banner day (pun intended) for team Ahwooga.

As of this morning we became a sponsor on jalopyjournal.com  .

Jalopy Journal is one of the most active sites out there and it's full of folks who understand what Ahwooga is all about.  We are honored to be a part of  it.

Swap Meet Rules, Keeping it Simple on Ahwooga.com

Ahwooga.com attempts to revolutionize the way cars and other auto related items are sold online

Open communication between buyers and sellers is the key to a good transaction.  There are times it takes more than a couple of e-mails to complete a solid sale. Ahwooga.com is launching their new online automotive marketplace January 1st that promotes communication between buyers and sellers. The staff at Ahwooga states they are not trying to compete with eBay motors, Craigslist or Amazon Automotive, but feel they have created a new concept.
