And...well, mayhaps the interesting The Hollow Alternate Universe that meets your eye! My ao3 should be linked up in my profile description. I also have a few projects that started as The Hollow AUs but became their own original ideas. I may post for them as well since they're so closely related to The Hollow in my heart. I also may dip my toes in other fandoms too. (Currently I'm really into Ben 10 for some reason).
Something to note: I am OK with people creating fan content for my own content. In fact please do so; such things fuel me to create more.
This blog is primarily Reekai centered, or well, at least I myself am the one and most prominent Reeve and Kai shippers. I love most of the ships though; Kaidam and Skira are pretty bomb. (For Ben 10: I primarily ship Benrook and Bevin)

I like to keep my online persona strictly separate from my real life persona, so you're never going to know any personal details about me except my age (I'm in my early twenties. Once again recalling (negatively) The Hollow fandom of old (2020) and just staring in the distance like a worn veteran...God I wish the others were still around because being one of the oldest Hollowers still in the fandom and carrying all those stories feels isolating sometimes. I was there when The Hollow was first cancelled, fellas. 😑
I've been in the community for a while now (exactly one year wow) and I've been thinking of doing a little event with the community that anyone can participate in, I've had this idea for a few months now and I'm surprised no one has thought of doing this sort of thing. This is probably my biggest contribution for the fandom yet so I bet this will be a blast!!

HOLLOWTOBER!!!!!!!!!!
An Inktober inspired challenge where you draw the hollow characters every day for the entire month of October, made by yours truly (me hehehehehe >:3).
If you don't see any characters from season 2, that is intentional because this year's calendar for Hollowtober is more focused on the characters that appeared in season 1 since this year is the first time I'm doing this sort of event, characters that are from season 2 will be on next year's calendar which will be more season 2 focused
This calendar is made to draw beloved characters from season 1 and shine some light onto those that get little recognition and deserve more attention
For everyday in October, I will make a post reminding everyone what prompt they will be doing for the day and maybe I will participate in some prompts, but we'll see how that goes (if school doesn't kick my ass that is).
And a little disclaimer before I go
Please don't feel like you HAVE to participate every day of this challenge for an entire month, there will be some point when you'll be tired of drawing for an entire month straight and can't participate on some days because of that and that is understandable. As someone who has never attempted to fully participate in an inktober based challenge, I can already IMAGINE what it must feel like to come out of it all burnt out mentally and physically exhausted.
So please, don't push yourself too hard if you don't participate on some days, the fact that you were willing to participate for like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or more days is greatly appreciated from me because it means you took your time to contribute to this little event when you could've done something else entirely, the main goal for this challenge is for everyone to have fun drawing characters they love and shining some light onto other characters that don't get as much attention as they deserve, so go crazy, GO STUPID!!!!!!!!!

Hello fellow Hollowers. I'm here to personally rate as many The Hollow ships that I can think of. Why am I doing this again? I'm bored, and you all know that's a bad thing: me being bored. For those who want to read the original series of ship ratings, go here: I II III
This revamped version is going to be more serious than my old version, and dive into how I am attracted to certain ships and what I look for.
I do want to emphasize to you all that these are, of course, my opinions! Please take them lightly. Feel free to reblog this post with your own ratings! Let's have discussions about our tastes, you know? learn from each other a bit!
...Thank god I'm doing this in The Hollow fandom though. I think if I was doing this in any other fandom I'd immediately get burned at the stake. XD
Anyways, let's get straight into it! Content below the line!
(Kai x Adam) Kaidam: 5/10
Ok so my rating for Kaidam is kind of complicated. I actually do like the ship! I just only tend to like it nowadays when it's some degree of toxic at first...you know, like how it would actually be in canon-
I have a whooooole other post detailing my wishes with fandom Kaidam content, if anyone wants to read that. A big thing with me that you guys should know right from the get go is that my tastes in ships are not always built off of what I think is the cutest per say. They're built off of the pre-existing dynamics, hypothetical dynamics based on existing character traits, and implied subtext. I'm not always here to gush, I'm here to see drama and character exploration. Hell, what ships I include in my fanfics tend to be varied and even go against my general opinions on certain ships as a whole. The context matters.
I'm giving Kaidam a middle-ground rating partially because even though I like it, it's not a ship I necessarily froth over 100% of the time anymore. The main thing that knocks it down to five for me is that a lot of the content I have seen for it IS rather cute, but it tends to be out of character in my opinion and doesn't scratch the itch for me.
Don't get me wrong! It's cute! I just...sometimes I see content of them and I'm like "They would not fucking be like that." But I am aware that art is subjective and people have their own opinions on characters so I don't let it bother me really. It's fiction in the end. I mean hell, I'm guilty of writing what I feel is OOC Kaidam back in my early days.
Plus, the fandom kind of...doesn't care about any other ship (besides Reedam of course), which can be discouraging as an author that likes me some variety and doesn't always focus on the shipping aspect. I've been in this fandom since 2019, before season 2 came out. Yes you may make fun of me for being a fandom elder. But yeah all I see is this ship and it kinda gets stale.
But yeah, Kai is an insecure mess and Adam is kind of an asshole sometimes, actually. They will argue. They will let each other down. I want to see them struggle. PLEASE Kaidam shippers give me more canon-aligned toxic Kaidam. I need it. There's only so much fluffy sugar I can eat before my teeth rots. I need salt and spices and sours too.
(Adam x Reeve) Reedam: 5/10
Reedam is actually another ship that's very complicated for me to rate. Most of the time, I exclusively view Reedam as "A thing that very likely happened at some point but it did NOT work and now they're just good friends." the only instances where I may ship Reedam are when Kai is involved. Rekaidam can be lit.
But the thing is I DO love to explore that instance of Adam and Reeve trying to date and that not working out. It has loads of character development potential. But as an actual ship? I don't really...ship it at all. They are far too similar in personality and they would absolutely clash as a couple...and that's what makes them so fun to imagine as a failing couple. So I'm giving it a 5/10 to signify this weird relationship I have with this ship, where I ship it specifically in the context of them breaking up later.
Reedam is also the other popular ship that is saturated in the fandom, so it kinda dissuades me from shipping it even more to be honest. But even if it wasn't that popular, it just doesn't scratch the itch for me unless the relationship explodes into a spectacular dumpster fire.
(Kai x Reeve) Reekai: 10/10
Do I even need to explain myself? You all should know who I am by now. I literally INVENTED Reekai. I was the first person to ever publicly discuss this ship as early as before season 2 came out, I'm sure.
But I will explain myself, actually. Kai and Reeve were my enemies to lovers for The Hollow, but unlike Adam and Reeve, Kai and Reeve clicked for me because of their outward differences. They could learn a lot from each other, which is something I really like in certain ships: that learning and growing as people aspect.
There's also just...the entire Adam and Reeve drama adding a lot of interesting subtext to Kai and Reeve's relationship. Kai is Reeve's replacement, and you bet your ass Kai feels insecure about that. So did Reeve. I mean, he bullied Kai especially in season 1 for seemingly no reason, but I bet you subconsciously he was jealous. These two navigating those emotions, growing, and deciding to ensure the other never feels inferior or gets taken for granted again is incredibly wholesome to me.
I'm also just a sucker for opposites attract. Reeve wears red. Kai wears blue. Reeve can be cold and confident, while Kai can be enthusiastic and socially awkward. Reeve seems to be more of an artist based on the photos he's taken, and Kai is more of a geek. But I also feel like a lot of their interests might overlap enough to where they can still bond with each other, you know?
Reekai is just...a slept on ship. I wish more people talked about it besides me and like...two other people maybe? There's a lot to explore here with the given material provided.
I've managed to convert an Adam alter into Reekaism, something I'm immensely proud of. Here's to hoping I recruit more.
(Skeet x Mira) Skira: 9/10
I'm honestly not sure if I have an in-depth reason on why I love this ship besides the fact that their chemistry is just so great in the few scenes we get of them. I really wished The Hollow explored their childhood friendship more. I think They're wholesome, and also I like to think about Mira crying over Skeet's death sometimes. I get to have my cake and eat it too with this pairing. Mmmmmh fluff AND angst. Oh, if only.
(Mira x Vanessa) Vanira: 3/10
I do apologize to the Vanira shippers but I...don't like Vanira. I could go on about this ship. Lord help me.
So to start with: Mira and Vanessa as characters are kind of...messes for me in a lot of ways. Mira was notoriously hard for me to grasp as a character in season 1 (Luckily season 2 fixed her.) and I loved Vanessa in season 1 but scratched my head at her portrayal in season 2.
I understood what they were trying to do with Vanessa, but the problem is that...we don't actually have a baseline for Vanessa's TRUE personality. She's either the manipulative bitch cheating the game in the first season or the grief-stricken girl in the second season. We don't really get to see Vanessa as completely herself. And when you mix that with Mira's character, which is complicated for me even despite the improvements to her in season 2...I...don't know what to do with this meal most of the time.
But that wouldn't be so much of a problem if they had a dynamic in the show, right? Yeah. One problem. They don't have one. Name a scene where Vanessa and Mira interact in a way that doesn't exclusively exist to serve the plot and is at least somewhat personal, and ISN'T something basic like Mira expressing concern, which she would do with literally anyone...yeah. There kind of is none. Gustaf and Weirdy have more going on than these two.
These girls have literally NOTHING to glue each other in canon, and their characters can be difficult to grasp for me, and perhaps for others as well. So sometimes it boggles my mind that this ship even exists. But, then I realize Vanira was the only possible Lesbian ship before season 2, which...I understand the plight of yearning Lesbians. But now that we have Season 2...Nisha and Iris are like right there? Those two have more of a presented dynamic than whatever Mira and Vanessa may have going on. Team B is slept on, honestly. I rarely see fanart of them and yet they were such a fun trio to see in the show (tangent).
I honestly wish I could understand this ship, but I just can't. The only times I can really ship it are when the context is so fundamentally changed that I basically create a dynamic for them based on expanded personalities I forged.
I'm not going to ship a ship just because it's sapphic. I need to be able to imagine them holding a normal conversation, and It's hard for me to do that with these two. Do they even have anything in common?? Is Mira even Vanessa's type?? I need the lamb sauce, and this ship has none. I pray for the Vanira shippers out there though because you guys are STARVING I bet.
...Honestly I feel like this opinion I have on this ship just proves to myself that I'm so so so very Demiace/Greyace. No I CAN'T be just satisfied with how cute a couple could look together. I need to know how they talk to each other and what they do with each other and how they mix and clash.
(Kai x Vanessa) Kainessa: 2/10
No. These two are basically siblings. They are visiting each other when their parents become unbearable and they braid each other's hair while they gossip about their friends.
...In all honesty though, I would only ship Vanessa with Kai if Reeve was involved. Something about Reeve being added just makes the overall ship far less ick for me. I just like the concept of bisexual disaster Kai having a boyfriend and a girlfriend that spoil and tease him.
But yeah it's not me viewing them as found siblings that mostly stops me, actually. It's just that I don't like how I was basically force-fed this hetero-normative pairing in the actual show. I may not know who Vanessa truly is as a person (/j) but I know she's AT LEAST a bisexual lesbian. Honestly if I see Kainessa I want to see Vanessa wearing the pants in the relationship. She's goth; he is not safe. She is putting him in a cat-girl outfit.
But yeah usually this ship is a no for me. Sorry Kainessa shippers. I just can't, usually. Unless it's Kai gets picked on by cool kidz hours (Reekainessa). I suppose it'd be fun to see them try to genuinely date and then have that not really work out, like with Reedam. But yeah. Naaaah.
(Mira x Kai) Kaira: 4/10
...Eh? I used to kind of enjoy it but I view Mira and Kai almost exclusively as a found sibling duo nowadays, and unlike with Kainessa that view is primarily what makes me lose interest. I also just don't think they'd work as a couple...Mira would deserved better (/j). I'm not exactly against seeing content of it either. It's just kinda...meh?
Honestly considering I rarely see it, I think I'd be pleasantly surprised by Kaira content in an "oh, I don't see that very often!" way. This is also one of those pairs that I find more intriguing when it's part of a polyamorous ship by the way. Mirkaidam is a cute ship. That's all I have to say about that.
(Kai x Skeet) Skeekai: 6/10
Silly guy x silly guy never fails to win my heart over a bit. With this pairing I think it just really depends on the context, because otherwise I just like to see them as good friends normally. I don't have much else to say about them. They're a vibe. Would love to see more content of them.
(Skeet x Vanessa) Skeenessa: 6/10
Goth girl x skater boy ship can get it. I have even less specifically to say about this ship. Like with Skeekai, it really depends on the context. I just think they're neat. I'd love to see more content of them.
(Skeet x Adam) Skeedam: 7/10
Ok so you know how Vanira has basically nothing to build off of? Skeedam kind of has that too at first glance, but at least Adam and Skeet's characters are clear enough to where I can like...understand what kind of dynamic they could have.
Opposites attract with this pairing. Adam is the confident leader who tries (and sometimes fails) to do the right thing. Meanwhile Skeet is laying on the couch eating cheetos and playing skating games. I think they could learn a lot from each other. Skeet could help Adam mellow out, and Adam could help Skeet get off the fucking couch-
I didn't really see the potential for this ship until Valarion illustrated it for me. Ever since then I've pleasantly enjoyed it.
(Reeve x Skeet) Skeeve: 6/10
Another "I just think they'd be neat" pairing. They are bros, you know? They a vibing. They are causing minor mischief and playing video games together. What more could you want as a ship? Again though, the context matters because otherwise I just view them as good friends.
(Reeve x Vanessa) Reenessa: 6/10
Honestly I might have given this one a 5, but 5 and below ratings are pairings I have some kind of issue with. I don't have an issue with this ship, I just don't really think about it often unless I see it on my feed. It is a ship and I support those who love it. Reeve and Vanessa would be scary to interact with as a couple though oh my lord. They are judging you immensely.
(Reeve x Mira) Mireeve: 2/10
...Nah, this isn't for me. I don't think Mira should romantically get involved in that entire mess her two friends got going on. She deserves better than that. If Adam and Reeve start fighting again she's going to be forced to pick Reeve's side a lot, which...yeah. Save my poor girl she has genuine anxiety because of those two idiots.
(Adam x Mira) Miradam: 0/10
No. Adam is gay. The only way I would ever explore this ship is in the context of Adam not realizing he's gay yet, dating Mira because he thinks he has to, and after he realizes he's gay he tells Mira and Mira supports the fuck out of him and gets him a pride flag. I don't think that scenario would be farfetched at all.
But yeah, no. I kind of...side-eye anyone who ships this pairing. But I mean, it is fiction in the end. Ship whatever you want. Just don't talk about this pairing to me. It feels like queer erasure and I don't like it.
(Adam x Vanessa) Vanadam: 0/10
I have similar feelings about this like I do with Miradam. I can't deny though that Adam and Vanessa pretending to date so homophobes don't fuck with them would be funny. I just think they'd be a good gay man and lesbian duo. I think it'd be scary for them to work together, they'd absolutely beat everyone's asses. But yeah no to this ship, UNLESS the context demands for a lavender relationship I guess, but that's not really shipping them.
(Nisha x Iris x Tyler) Team B Shipping: 8/10
HOLY FUCKING SHIT these guys have such good chemistry. Why do I NEVER see art of these guys??? They're literally the best. They have such fun personalities, they function as great unintentional antagonists to the story, and their dynamic is amazing. You could ship any individual from this trio with any other member of this trio and it would be amazing. Fuck, make them a polyamorous triad and it'd be even better!
I DEMAND a Team B week. I DEMAND fanart and content of this trio. People have slept on them long enough.

I don't see autoromantic/autosexual representation like, at all. And as someone who struggles with loving myself (I have a history of suicidal tendencies. Fun fact.), seeing characters that love themselves to the point that they want to date themselves is very healing and sweet.
Honestly this ship is why my other ships with Adam are lower now. I just think Adam deserves to kiss himself in the mirror, and date himself. I do think he does find men attractive, but I think he finds it hard to actually date them? Seems like a casual relationship guy. A guy that dates a hot guy and has fun, but primarily wants to dedicate romantic love to himself. I love that! I think it'd be a struggle for Adam to accept that side of himself too! It's fun to explore.
...Definitely wasn't indoctrinated into this ship by an autoromantic gay Adam alter...nope nope (I was). But yeah Adam selfshipping is amazing. "I mean look at me? How could you resist?" He wants to kiss himself so baaaaad.
(Death x Weirdy) Crazyskullshipping: 7/10
Not much to say. I just think they're neat! Lots of character exploration with Death being an AI and Weirdy in most contexts NOT being one. Their chemistry was just great for that one scene. I like them. I think it'd be fun if they kissed and took care of the other teens!

So as some of you might know. I'm @valarioncy 's roommate. They've been gone for a while now, and it's been for a few reasons.
One of their alters just randomly started hating being on Tumblr for absolutely no reason. That alter is inactive now, but the other issue remains
They have massive anxiety surrounding personal messages and interacting in online platforms. This is largely due to PTSD from a toxic and abusive collective that I personally knew as well. I have similar trauma from them. Me and Valarion are both processing things together.
I'm currently trying to convince Valarion to let me be their "secretary" of sorts to ease the burden and help them get back into the swing of things. They've been doing a lot of art and want to publish it, but the thought of opening Tumblr paralyzes them right now. You may or may not hear from me on their blog, sometime soon.
Please give my roommate encouragement on this blog post. Let them know they're in a safe space and stuff! And Valarion also wants to let you guys know that they'll be a safe space for you all as well, when they dip their toes into posting again. I don't think people approach them very often because they have an air of intimidation, but don't let that fool you. They're the silliest system I've ever met. XD
