Ok, so this is sort of what I was thinking, in terms of how they might’ve met up ~in the beginning~ or whatever. So
it’s a super small area so like everyone at least knows ~about everyone else and there are only so many ppl who’re in the same age range, so your potential friend pool isn’t thaT wide ;D
there’s actually a fair amount of carryover between the blacks and magnusons in terms of interactions: Elijah is bffs w Roman and dated Vee; Bianca is bffs w Vee (and ofc Xander); Ben is bffs w Xander and interested in Eva (and she’s into him)
I didn’t really think about it much further than that and I wasn’t sure about the specifics, but I felt like this probs meant asp Xander would be going back and forth/the Blacks would be going back and forth between houses and inevitably they’d all be thrown together. Xander isn’t really one to do much ~meaningful socialization unless it sort of just happens around him and so i kind of feel like his siblings all bonding w the blacks eventually sort of had him along for the ride and he sort of accidentally???? befriended them???? and now he cares about them hahahaha
I love that they were annoyed w each other at the start!!!!!! That feels so real!!!! Esp since he was probs irritated that his siblings were bringing these rando ppl around or whatever and then they start talking about comic books and Xander is like rolling his eyes so hard they nearly fall out of his head hahaha so he was def in rare form in terms of being a jerk hahaha and honestly if you can get past thaT well no wonder they’re friends ;DDDDD Somewhere along the line though her quirks went from irritating and endearing and he’s probably not 100% how that happened but now he’s emotionally invested hahaha
I actually feel like atp their personalities being so different is actually part of why they’re tight???? Bc, like, 1) Xander hates himself so he’d also hate ppl like him hahaha 2) he’s kinda extreme and needs!!!! to be balanced!!!! and I feel like her traits do that a lil so he can just sort of rest and take it easy for a little while yknow???? Plus I def feel like the world the Blacks live in is so different from his own, he likes to escape to it as a sort of retreat, yknow? And the Blacks are so real and so honest and he def always felt like that was never the case at home, so it makes all!!!! the difference!!! having ppl in his life who’re the real deal, yknow?

Honestly???? it’s how they be and I do think she’s lowkey enough that he just sort of writes it off as just Bianca being occasionally weird or awkward esp bc if it’s gone on like this for awhile now? The longer it’s been going on, the more likely he is to think that she just acts like that hahaha and it has nothing in particular to do w him hahahah esp w her telling him off. Alos he’s always like ‘fair point but hurtful’ on the inside smdh Also, if that is the case, then I think he probs doeS flirt at her #facepalm and he thinks it means nothing #whoops esp when she’s like ‘look how cute i am’ or he catches her staring at him hahaha

lmaooo i love the idea of xander just accidentally getting entangled with the blacks and now he’s kinda just roped into all of their lives?? bc that is 100% what happened and bianca’s kinda the same? like before she became friends w vee i’m sure she thought little to none of the magnusons. i mean she knew of them of course lol their family name is basically EVERYWHERE but other than that she probs didn’t give their fam a second thought?? then she met vee and they just clicked so she was like “ok well now ur 1/3 of me” (the other 1/3 being emma) and then she was introduced to xander who probably took a while warming up to b/c a) she was too much for him or b) he was too much for her tho i’m betting it was the alternative answer c) they concluded they are both Too Much for everyone LOL
anyways bee’s pro-magnuson now. most of the time she’s off in her own la la biancaland and not attentive of the stuff happening around her but i think she’d be a lil aware that there are some ppl on the island who don’t feel the same way about the magnusons as she does. bee’s reaction is just why????not?????? even tho she used be one of those ppl lol now she’s all ALEXANDER! HAS! LAYERS! don’t 👏🏼judge 👏🏼an 👏🏼ogre 👏🏼by 👏🏼his 👏🏼outer 👏🏼onion 👏🏼shell!
I LOVE THAT THEY’RE SO DIFF BUT GET ALONG <3 and that he escapes to her house bc it’s so diff from his home. honestly i’m sure there’s a dent in her couch from all the times xander has crashed at their place (whether it’s drunk or sober) and both bee and elijah have had to call blaise before to let him know where xander is hahaha. it also gives elijah more fuel to be like i knew this guy was bad news aijfoawiejf lmaoo. also this also happens 9 out of 10 times xander sleeps over #noregrats
