Ever wanted to role-play The Magnus Archives with an AI? You’re in luck!
I’ve done some tweaking to an old AI Dungeon 2 scenario I had made for The Magnus Archives, and it’s been performing very well. In case you’re unfamiliar, AI Dungeon basically takes the form of a text adventure generated by an AI model with user input as guidance. It can be unpredictable at times and go off the rails, but with careful guidance and some patience in training the style of the output by inputting descriptive and well-written sentences, it can create some seriously amazing writing. I’ll put a link in a reblog, but first here are some examples of what it’s capable of. All of these are less than half by me- most of the writing has been done by the AI.
Give it a shot if you’d like, and please don’t hesitate to share with me what AI Dungeon comes up with!!
Just finished my first complete “story” with the new scenario- give it a read if you’d like. It’s more or less fanfiction at this point- it’s pretty much impossible to differentiate the AI’s responses from my inputs without being specifically told which are which. The theme of this one was Jon’s statement hunger, which I used as an experiment in whether I could force the scenario to adapt to later seasons despite being initially suited to season 1. Spoiler alert- though it required a bit of guidance, it worked! https://play.aidungeon.io/main/adventureView?publicId=113fe21f-7acf-4299-86c4-67e934d72f87
I lost my old files for the GPT-3 model (RIP) but you know what I DO have? An AI Dungeon 2 subscription! This blog returns from the dead at long last, at least until I get tired of it again.
