A rotten strawberry

Ichigo is a character I currently dislike but can't hate just disappointed. She falls in love to hiro since he gave her a name that made her feel special. She is a type of childhood friend character that mess up the mc's relationship. I personally don't like these kinds of characters but ichigo is a little different from that. I understand she doesn't fully know love or someone else's feelings for someone other then her.

Ichigo is assigned as team leader which I thought she be the responsible type but I was wrong. Ichigo has been less of a leader and more of a drag as a person. A leader is to command and work with their unit and not get emotional even when the situation is grim. She's lack on that since she is emotionally unstable when it come to Hiro. Goro takes the burden of role as leader when she is currently unable to operate. Goro shows the promising skills as leader of squad 13 to the point where he would sacrifice himself to let his comrades safe and sound without a complaint. Whereas ichigo doesn't strategies, sets formations or understand they are one pair short to fight.

In episode 14 she misuse her position as leader and let her emotions decide even though at the moment it was right to separate Hiro and zero two. But to keep them totally distant knowing that they wanted to talk she could let that happen is a different matter. Yes Zero two did hurt the team but none of that wouldn't happen if she let her visit Hiro. She could have command zero two to cool off before see him.

In the end when zero two was leaving, Hiro wanted to go after her ichigo refused and made the wrong move. Instead of kissing/confessing him she could have hugged him like a sibling telling Hiro she's sorry as she is not letting him go. I dislike her even though both side did wrong on that episode. But to me she was setup since ep 12 to ruin Hiro and zero two's relationship. If there is a redemption scene for ichigo I would like it if she helps Hiro get to zero two... or die trying.
