I’m so frustrated. I’ve played an MMO called Aion on and off for the past 9 years. It’s never been an innovative, unique, or easy MMO - it came out when WoW was huge, so Aion’s earliest versions feel a lot like earlier versions of WoW - but damn, is the game beautiful.

The graphics engine is pretty outdated now, but the aesthetic, the soundtrack, the armor, the history, the character customization still remain some of the best I’ve seen in any MMO. Even players focused on end-game content (jokingly) agree that playing dress-up is one of the main appeals of the game; it’s an ultra-competitive gear-based PVP grind otherwise.

And this most recent update has removed players’ ability to access ¾ of the outfits pool. For no mechanical reason, and without putting it in the official patch notes afaik. Like, the publisher NCsoft has been making questionable decisions since 2008 but

I found your post after I reinstalled aion...and I loved this game for the same reasons you listed. Now I’m like this

The story is all over the place, the new systems sounds extremely complicated, it’s probably hard af to get things done too 😭😭

I finally watched Pacific Rim: Uprising and wtfff did I watch? 😒

In the first movie, the UN pulled all funding from the Jaeger program because they stopped producing results. But in Uprising, 10 years after the breach was destroyed and with no impending kaiju threat, they are still getting funded. What.

Movie also want me to believe the rogue Jaegers nonsense when it takes immense amounts of resources and funds to build and maintain. Not to mention the tech (messing with neurological functions) is probably well-guarded by the PPDC.

What a shitshow.

This movie doesn’t exist for me.

I’m so excited that Jo’s continuing to write in the Harry Potter world without touching on Harry’s story! That world is too magical and wondrous for her not to. I know most people would love a book/movie about the Marauders or 2nd Generation, but I genuinely have no interest in either. That story is complete in my opinion and I’d be really bummed to see it added on to. I’m so excited to see more of the magical world outside of Hogwarts, London, and Harry!

While I wouldn't be against a Maurauder era story or a "World of Ice and Fire" encyclopedia type of thing. JKR became a sellout, it's as if she's milking HP for all it's worth because her other projects flopped and she's unable to recreate the success she's had with Harry Potter.

Wait no, I’d rather she not write anything at all. Given all the retcons she made, if she writes a Maurauder era story now, it would end up like Voldemort’s soul at the end of Deathly Hallows: a mangled mess that nobody (except the most obsessed fans) wants to touch.
