gabriel-enchanted:
Overwhelmed was a word that completely failed to describe how Gabriel felt trying to move through the crowd and get the hell out of the cabin. He hadnât been here that long, hadnât seen any of his vampire buddies so how had he died and then come back? Why was his chest silent but everyone elseâs so fucking loud? His whole body burned with a need he knew heâd have to satiate before long but he couldnât do it here, not with these people, not if he ever wanted to see them again - that much he knew.Â
So a slightly impatient growl slipped out as someone got in between him and the door and delayed his attempt at fleeing for small talk. Smell? She wanted to talk about smell? That drew a rue laugh out of Gabriel as he took a step back from her. âYouâre one to talk, you smell terrible.â ActuallyâŚGabriel reached out to delicately take her arm. âAilis, please help me get the hell out of here.â Vampirism may have made him want to kill everyone in the room, but didnât do much to help his 5Ⲡ4âł self get through a crowd â sans biting. âYouâŚI donât really want to bite so that makes you much safer than most here. Also what the fuck happened to you? Why do you smell likeâŚwet dog.â His feet paused for a terrible second- was that what all Enchanters smelled like? But no, Anthony hadnât - dear God, he wasnât actually going to think about - nope, feet, door, safety. âDid we all get knocked out or something and thenâŚturned? Are all the EnchantersâŚ.well, dead for lack of a better term?â Without their magick - they may as well be.
Oh, fuck, he had no magick.Â
She was grinning until he mentioned wanting to bite anyone... She still smiled though. She did at that moment realize maybe Dhvitiâs plan had some issues. She could see vampires who werenât used to being a vampire ending up losing control. Sheâd have to warn the others once she helped Gabriel get out of here. âYou know, thatâs rude.â She said with a smirk in response to him saying she smelled terrible. Despite the fact that she had pretty much just said the same thing to him. âWell thatâs good... makes sense though...â Good to know if she ever faced a vampire. Maybe she could make herself smell like werewolves... maybe... huh.. She wondered if she could make anti-vampire charms. Those might sell well. Potentially.
She glanced down at his hand on her arm. This must really be bothering him- she could only imagine how overwhelming it was for him. âOf course Iâll help you. Come on.â She was only an inch taller but ever since the transformation completed she felt stronger and for Ailis that went a bit to her head. So she nudged her way through the crowd with Gabriel in tow. Continuing to speak in the mean time. âI do not smell like wet dog.â She lifted her hand up to her face and sniffed it. âI smell like curling up by the fire with a wolf. Warm and comforting. Sort of woodsy... You smell like dirt and... I donât know... old.â She chuckled when he asked if they all had died. âUh... not quite, no.â Theyâd all be actually dead if they just passed out or, so she assumed. âNo oneâs dead... Well any more than usual at least.â
