WARNING!!! LUSHAHOLIC ALERT!!! I REPEAT, LUSHAHOLIC ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haven’t posted in forever (sorry) but with my new Lush obsession blooming I decided to do a product overview for the products I’ve tried!
Over the last three weeks I have bought 6 items from Lush… It all started when one of my besties and I decided to go into Lush and have a look at their bath bombs. We left with a Space Girl bath bomb each 🌠
Space Girl Bath Bomb: After spending NZ$6.90, I couldn’t wait to use mine and ended up in the bath that very night. I was amazed by the smell and look: think of citrus fruit, almond oil and popping candy all mixed into a pink/purple planet.. With lots of glitters. Lots and lots of it. I was a bit disappointed I didn’t get out of the bath with any glitter on me but that was probably due to the fact that I added some random shower gel to make bubbles. (I love bubbles) And while the colours of the bath were very pretty I decided that I like bubbles a lot more. Which brings me to my next Lush outing….
Before I went to Lush, I promised myself that I wouldn’t buy more than two items (trying to save for my travels, so I’m limiting my expenses) I went in to buy my own Lip Scrub- my niece has the Bubblegum one and I’m obsessed with using it every time I visit! And also wanted to try a BUBBLE BAR!!! After much indecisiveness I settled on the Creamy Candy bubble bar 🍬
Creamy Candy BUBBLE BAR: This pink bubble bar smells absolutely positively delightful! If you're like me and you luurrrve sweet thaaangs, then you will definitely luuurrrve this one! Smells like those round fizzy lollies you can buy from a those lolly bins at the supermarket mixed with vanilla essence and cocoa butter 😍 This bar filled my tub up with soft, scented bubbles and even though the bubbles didn't last as long as I was in the bath for, (over an hr) they lasted for some time. After NZ$7.90, I came out of the bath smelling D to the E to the L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!! (With soft skin too!)
Bubblegum Lip Scrub: This, I love!!! Smells like the Strawberry Hubba Bubba bubblegum that I used to get when I was a kid, only 10 times better!! The pink crystal like scrub, feels and tastes like rubbing sugar onto your lips, leaving your lips buzzing and wanting more!! Being made from castor sugar, I’d say it’s edible… Well that’s what I tell myself after I realise I’ve licked it all off 😝 definitely worth the NZ$11.50 if you ask me!
Montalbano Shampoo Bar: First time ever using a shampoo bar! Didn't really know how it would turn out but I bought this one purely based on its colour 💛 (yellow is my fave colour) and smell 🍋 (lemony). I seem to be attracted to the citrus smells (lemons and oranges and grape fruits too), I think it's because the smell wakens my senses, leaving me feeling refreshed. Luckily I picked a goody, as this one helps leave your hair shiny and squeaky clean [who even reads the fine print anyway?!] While I wasn't sure what 'squeaky clean' was, after using the shampoo bar today, I would totally describe my hair as being squeaky clean! After lathering a good amount onto my hair and massaging it in, the shampoo easily washed out and didn't leave any remnants like other shampoos tend to do. And when I combed my fingers through my hair, it didn't feel oily at all! My hair has been soft all day but not as shiny as I thought it might be (in a good way). I think I might fall in love with Montalbano, even if it is NZ$15.90.
Shine So Bright Hair Balm: I chose this one specifically with one thing in mind- to make the dry ends of my hair not so dry anymore. Day two, and the balm has exceeded my expectations. Being NZ$9.90, I wasn't putting too much hope into the hair balm and I didn't believe it could be the miraculous little gem that it is! Well! It has already done its job and my ends aren't dry anymore and I reckon it can help stop my split ends! Also it has made my hair smell wonderful. Like a blissfully, happy, Summer's day 💐 (coconut, grapefruit, rosewood, Shea butter, and gardenia extract)!!! While the tin it comes in is very small, it will definitely last for a very long time - even if you use it everyday!
So I have slowly turned into a LUSHAHOLIC, and could seriously spend hours in the store just smelling and trying everything if I could! I know that my obsession is most certainly not helpful with the travel savings 💸 but I really can't help what I like or become obsessed with... It's too phenomenal... And at any rate, the more Lush products I try, the more knowledgeable I will be when I apply for a job as a Christmas casual at the end of this year!! 💁 [I have made 'working at Lush' a recent goal of mine and I'm so excited to make it happen!]
Anyhow, that's all from my Lush obsession for now.
As I buy more items I will do more reviews until then,

Back to reality... Saying goodbye is always so hard. I prefer "see you later". It just has a nicer ring to it. I think it's because it has three words rather than just one. Like when I say it, the "later" always ends on a high note. Maybe it's just me that thinks this... I had to say goodbye to my sister, her husband and their three kids and it was really sad. Living with them for 3 weeks was hectic (kids were always noisy and most of the time fighting but I still love them!) and I didn't really have my own space but staying up late reading was good me time. I got really attached to my nieces and nephew and it sucks not being able to see them grow up. Thank goodness for the Internet these days! Perth isn't exactly the other side of the world but it is on the farthest side of Australia from New Zealand. And flights aren't cheap so it's hard to say when I'll visit again but I will definitely be back. But for now, there is Skype! Saying goodbye to family is always hard but saying goodbye to a place where I was able to travel around and go to amazing places (even if it was with 3 noisy kids most of the time) made me realise that I love being in a new, different city, where I can go to little towns I've never been to before and be all touristy about it... I.e. Taking photos of everything and anything and blogging about! I've decide that travelling is definitely on the cards for this year and hopefully next!!! And I hope to travel solo for some trips! Brave decision, I know, but not having to wait for someone and doing whatever I want to do, when I want, is so freeing and makes me feel all independent and sophisticated! (But I love travelling with friends too!) So (I feel like I say "so" too much-sorry) anyway, I flew home on Saturday night, and arrived Sunday morning. I should have used my time on the plane wisely and slept the 7 hrs we were in the sky but after dinner and watching two movies there were only two hrs till arrival! Shocked that the time had flown by (pun intended) I tried to get two hrs sleep but the turbulence decided otherwise. Hate turbulence. I was so tired yesterday and slept during the day to catch up on sleep and was surprisingly still able to sleep last night with no signs of jet lag. Until tonight. I'm still up at 1 am and not feeling tired. Luckily I have Home and Away episodes to watch! Gotta go, this episode just got really good! Aim and Follow Your Arrow Xx (PS. I love flying with Air New Zealand! Always amazing service and such a cool plane too- all black!)
Mundaring Weir One last fill of sight-seeing before heading home tomorrow! This is up in the Kalamunda Hills and freshwater is pumped 560km from here to Kalgoorlie and various regional centres through a network of pipes. Mundaring Weir is a vital part of the goldfields and agricultural water supply scheme. Breathing in the fresh air and soaking up the sun!! But dam, it was super windy!!! 😂
Motor Museum of WA Today we made the trip out to Whiteman Park again but this time we visited the Motor Museum of WA. Although I'm not much of a car enthusiast I did enjoy myself wandering around the vintage cars and small models! 🚘 My dad who loves history and has an extensive knowledge of great cars said that the museum was way better than he expected it to be and it lives up to its reputation- one of the finest motor museums in Australia. So if you're at Whiteman Park go check it out and see for yourself!!! Tomorrow is my last full day in Perth 😞 and then I fly home on Saturday night. I'm hoping to get a leaving post up within the next couple of days!
IT'S SO FLUFFY I'M GONNA DIE!!! I couldn't very well go to Australia and not feed a kangaroo or pet a koala bear!!! Had such an amazing day at Caversham Wildlife Park in Perth! I couldn't contain my excitement walking through the the entrance to the park. First thing we did was meet the koala bears 🐨 They sleep for 18-20 hrs a day because the only food they eat- eucalyptus leaves- doesn't have enough nutrients to give them much energy! It would be like us eating only lettuce and not drinking any water 😵 However, these sleepy-eyed marsupials are extremely adorable (hugging trees as they sleep so they don't fall off) and SO FLUFFY!!! After watching the farm show and seeing all the other animals like quolls, flying foxes, wombats, and birds (who knew there could be so many different birds at one park?!) we went to the kangaroo walkabout and we were able to feed the kangaroos! When they weren't sleeping in the sun, the little baby kangaroos (joeys) were jumping around looking all cute! I can't decide on what part of my day was the best as I enjoyed every minute of it 😄 (sounds so cliche but it's the truth!) I highly recommend visiting the Caversham Wildlife Park if you are ever in Perth and would even go as far to say that it was more exciting than Perth Zoo (cheaper too!!) you get really up close and personal with the Australian wildlife which is an incredible experience! I'm going to miss this city! ✈️🌏
After watching The Penguins of Madagascar movie the other day and going to the Perth Zoo today, I must say Penguins are definitely really cute little creatures!!! Oh, to be a penguin and swim around all day! 🐧
Went to the mall to spend a few $$ today and bought a really cool bikini from City Beach 👙 Also got some staple items like film for my instax camera 📷 Today was the hottest day since I've been here- 41 degrees Celsius! 🌞😱 Only 5 more nights before I have to leave this place 😩 and get back to reality ✈️
A photo from yesterday because today was a stay at home kinda day 🏡 Photo: my sister, vines and peace signs Just chilling in the vineyard outside The Cheese Barrel at Swan Valley. They had nice cheese but... "my favourite's Gouda" 💁 (she's the man)
Whistler's Chocolate Company in Swan Valley, (Perth) was on the 'to visit' list today. Had an amazing little chocolate bear there but totally forgot to take a pic before I devoured it 😩 oh well the bear was cute and yumm!!! 🐻😋

This is yesterday's photo! We went to Hillary's Harbour in Perth and I had to take a photo for my travel journal so this is it. We went swimming in the harbour and you can't really see it but there is a pontoon with slides on it by the jetty. So we jumped off there and also jumped off the jetty too. It was a really picturesque place with shops and cafes around the harbour. And nice sand to make great sand castles with 👌 really loving Perth and don't want to go home in a week 😢
I'm going to try to take a photo everyday and post it on here. .. That is obviously hard to do as I am usually quite busy. So if I am unable to post a photo because I am away on a camp or something of the sort then when I get back on tumblr I will post a few photos to make up for time lost 😊 Here is my first photo for the first day of 2015. I'm currently in Perth visiting family and we went to the outdoor Luna cinema in Leederville! This pic was taken before the movie started. (Go watch The Imitation Game if you want to see a good movie that isn't based on the common notion 'sex sells') Such an amazing atmosphere, sitting outside on beanbags 😍 I loved it! Wish we had a place like this back home in NZ!
Hi there! I created this blog because I decided to try something new and different to me... Not really sure how this will turn out- will anyone ever read this or will I forget about the blog in a month? So for the main reason of not embarrassing myself; I have chosen to keep this blog anonymous and I know this may sound very cliche but I like the idea of being able to say what I want, when I want and make my voice heard (slightly cringing inside at all this cheese). With 2015 just starting, I have been thinking a lot about everything that has happened in 2014 and what this new year might bring. To be honest I'm a bit anxious about this year as I have recently graduated from uni and don't know exactly what I'll be doing this year. All I know is that I want to travel and (embrace yourself for another cliche) live while I'm young! I'm currently in Australia visiting family so I'm on that holiday buzz which makes me lazy. I know it will be hard going back to NZ to get motivated to look for a second job even though I seriously need to so I can save enough money to go travelling. This blog will help motivate me to work hard so I can travel and when I go travelling I will update my posts more frequently. But this will also be a place for my mindless musings where I will talk about what's been on my mind. Aim and Follow Your Arrow is about me setting goals/having dreams and pursuing them. The name was inspired by a quote I came across a couple of days ago: An arrow can only be shot by pulling it back. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great. Just focus and keep aiming. Follow Your Arrow, Xx
