An irregular Super Sentai?!
Despite being members of the same Sentai team, they're rivals competing for the Sentai Rings required to fulfill their wishes. The film based on the Super Sentai "No.1 Sentai Gozyuger," which stands out even among the rest of the series, is currently in theaters.
The defining characteristic of the Gozyugers is that they're a disorganized group with no sense of unity. To begin with, each member is an "outcast" who either couldn't fit into society, couldn't stay in their original community, or became estranged from their family, and to top it all off, they're all very assertive. And yet, as they fought together, they came to understand each other's backgrounds and feelings, and began to show more consideration for their teammates through their words and actions. One of the major appeals of Gozyuger is that you want to watch the relationships within the team gradually change little by little.
In the film, the Gozyugers face a series of challenges that they can't overcome without working together. The key point of this film is that even though they're doing things that are unlike the Gozyugers, in the end, it becomes a drama unique to Gozyuger. Let's go cheer on the Gozyuger's battle, which despite being chaotic, is somehow heartwarming!

-Being the additional member is difficult?!-
"One of the themes of the film is teamwork, and there are many scenes where the five characters, excluding Kumade who acts independently, cooperate with each other."
Kanda: That's right. We didn't even cooperate that much during the sports festival (episode 17).
Suzuki: They do cooperate in the main series, but there hasn't been any obvious scenes where they've "linked arms."
Fuyuno: Since there were going to be many scenes where we worked together, the mindset I had while performing was different.
Matsumoto: It's typical of films to have a situation where you can't win unless you team up.
Kanda: It made me think, "What kind of Super Sentai are they?" (laughs). Normally, it should be natural for them to cooperate with each other.
Kimura: In that sense, the film may have content that's more typical of Super Sentai.
"That was a good way of summarizing it!"
Kimura: Well, I am the sixth member after all (said with a smug look on his face).
Kanda: Still, during the film, he doesn't act like he's one of us at all, which was surprising (laughs).
Kimura: Kumade acts differently from the other five characters and Bridans, so while we're in the same film, he gives off a different "flavor," and I think that's the kind of importance that's been placed on him. Just when you think that everyone's playing jump rope, the scene will switch to Kumade and you'll be like, "The hell is this guy up to?"
"Which scenes are you looking forward to seeing on the big screen in theaters?"
Imamori: I'm looking forward to the beach volleyball scenes. Their attacks made me wonder, "Aren't they breaking some rules?"
Kanda: It'll make you think something more like, "What even is beach volleyball?"
Matsumoto: It was chaotic. The cliff climbing scene too.
Imamori: That's right! That area was amazing.
Matsumoto: Filming it was pretty surreal, so I'm curious to see how it'll look on the screen.
Imamori: Director Tasaki said, "Ah, this is amazing!" from behind the monitor.
Kanda: He was like, "This is so realistic."
Matsumoto: Ah! That's right, he said that!
Suzuki: I thought there were various creative ideas, so I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone used their respective skills, as well as how they worked together as a team to defeat the enemy.
Kimura: I mean, Kumade wasn't there for beach volleyball or cliff climbing.
Everyone: (laughs).
Imamori: Tons of Reds from previous Super Sentai series will be appearing in the film, right?
Kanda: That's right.
Kimura: I used to watch Abaranger and Magiranger, so my excitement rose when I saw their Reds. And so, as you also feel nostalgic, I hope that you'll fall in love with the charm of us Gozyugers too. Regardless of whether you've watched the TV series or not, I think this is a work that people of all ages can enjoy.
Fuyuno: That being said, I'm really looking forward to the film's unique Engage, one which can't be seen in the main series.
-The Number One Sentai's true colors-
"Out of the six of you, who do you think has the biggest gap between them and their role?"
Kimura: Oh my, let's see……
Imamori: For me, it'd probably be Hide-kun.
Kanda: Hide, huh.
Kimura: If you think it's Hide then raise your hand!
Imamori: Yeah!
Kanda: Come to think of it, I guess it is Hide.
Suzuki: Really?
Fuyuno: (he slowly raises his hand).
Suzuki: You just raised your hand because of everyone else, didn't you?
Everyone: (laughs).
Imamori: Rikuo is superficial, and as Sumino, I don't really like him and find him very difficult to deal with, but for everyday Hide-kun, he's serious, humble, and not superficial at all. He's so cool.
Kanda: Ah, so it's that!
Imamori: Yeah. There's a significant gap.
Kimura: Huh? What were you thinking of Masa-kun?
Kanda: Rikuo can do anything, or rather, he can quickly step up and do things in a cool way, but Hide is alittle……well, y'know? He's also a natural airhead, so in that sense, there's a gap.
Imamori: Kanda-san too.
Suzuki: Masa-kun's the same, right?
Kanda: Cut it out (laughs).
Fuyuno: Rikuo's a narcissist and gets absorbed in his own little world, right? Hide however, he's very kind.
Suzuki: (very clearly exaggerating) EH~?!
Everyone: (laughs).
Kanda: That's also part of the gap. I really want fans to see the real Hide as soon as possible.
Imamori: Hide-kun is really amusing in places like the dressing room!
Suzuki: Eh? (laughs).
Kanda: Yeah, he's amusing. He's a natural airhead, a good kid, and he's got a cute side to him.
Fuyuno: (he nods).
"With film premieres and events, there'll be more opportunities to interact with fans from now on."
Kanda: Ah, that's right! That makes me happy.
Imamori: I'm looking forward to it. In terms of the gap between them and their roles, Hide-kun and Jin-kun may have the biggest ones.
Suzuki: If Jin stayed in character, it'd be scary (laughs).
Matsumoto: It's be strange if there were no gap (laughs).
Suzuki: In terms of age difference, I think Jin has the biggest gap with his role. Still, I think they're similar in that he's both composed and determined.
Kanda: He's level headed, right?
Matsumoto: Thank you so much (he's embarrassed). Personally, I feel that there's a considerable gap between Mio-kun and his role. Hoeru is cute too, but Mio-kun himself also has a cute side that comes out when he talks. When we tease him about it, he looks pretty happy (laughs).
Kanda: That's for sure. It's adorable.
Fuyuno: That's because it's my selling point (laughs).
Suzuki: During the initial stages he said, "My aim is to be the number one cutest."
Fuyuno: I did say that. My cuteness is undeniable.
Kanda: You haven't shown enough of it to back up those words!
Everyone: (laughs).
Kimura: Gaps, huh. That's a difficult question (laughs). After all, everyone was chosen since they were perfect for their roles.
Suzuki: Right, right. We created our roles by making use of our own experiences, so there are aspects unique to our respective roles.
Matsumoto: As someone who was chosen for this role, there are quite a few similarities, so it's difficult to answer.
Kanda: Among us, if you had to choose one, who would it be?
Kimura: Hmmm……I guess it's Masa-kun.
Kanda: Me?!
Kimura: Personally, I get the impression that Ryugi has particular obsessions, where he's like, "This is what I believe in!" Masa-kun's relatively plain, so that's where I feel there's a gap between him and Ryugi.
Imamori: That's for sure.
Kanda: "Relatively" (laughs). Still, that makes me happy. Thank you so much.
-The keyword of the film is XX!-
"Once again, please tell us the highlights of the film!
Kimura: While Kumade's busy reforming the world, everyone else is fighting together (laughs), and that's where you'll really be able to see Kumade's personality, so I hope you enjoy everything, including the GozyuPolar battle scenes. It's such a dense "appetizer platter," that it doesn't feel like a 30 minute film at all.
Kanda: Right, it's only 30 minutes!
Suzuki: It's pretty jam packed, isn't it?
Imamori: No matter how many times I read the script, as the story neared its conclusion, I felt my excitement building, and could feel the energy that's unique to Gozyuger. I hope you'll watch it multiple times!
Matsumoto: I think it's interesting to see the process of them starting out with no sense of solidarity at all, to then gradually getting used to teamwork and cooperating in order to overcome their challenges. I'd like for you to pay attention to that point, and since it's a truly wonderful film that places importance on passion, I hope you will watch it multiple times.
Kanda: Not only is the story interesting, but there's also a ton of celebrity guests that make an appearance, making it an enjoyable film to watch. Various incidents will occur one after another, and the "arcs" will end in the blink of an eye, so I think it's a film that even children can easily watch. I hope you'll watch it as many times as you can.
Suzuki: This film features tons of previous Reds, so I hope you'll enjoy finding out why that is. Towards the end, there's a scene where they return to Tega Sword Village, and I really like how the personalities of all the Gozyugers are on display. I definitely want you to pay attention to that.
Fuyuno: In addition to what everyone else has already said, I'd like for you to watch this film while keeping the word "wish" in mind. By doing so, you'll be able to better understand the message of the film. It's packed with content, so please make sure to enjoy it in theaters!
Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger Photo Book: ~King of Kings~
Gira Husty Profile:
King of Shugoddam, the most powerful country where the guardian god resides. Learning of king Racules Husty's goal of "prioritizing the unity of Chikyu, even at the expense of the people," he rebels against the world by playing the role of an "evil king" in order to protect everyone. His partner is God Kuwagata, and he arms himself with the KuwagataOhger armor.
Yanma Gast Profile:
King of N'kosopa, country of technology. Born in a slum, he rose to the position of king with just his computer. He's a skilled engineer, and all of the equipment for the Royal Sentai was developed by Yanma. He's an ambitious man with a desire to improve, with many people looking up to and calling him "President" due to his yankii spirit.
Hymeno Ran Profile:
Queen of Ishabana, country of fine art and medicine. While beautiful in appearance, she has an extremely selfish personality, and values "beauty" above all else. On the other hand, she has no hesitation in saving someone's life, and has the face of a doctor who brilliantly saves lives. She maintains a "selfish style" in battle, not caring about her surroundings, and fights using the King's Weapon: Scythe Mode.
Rita Kaniska Profile:
King of Gokkan, country of ice and snow, they're the Chief International Judge who believes that neutrality is justice. They're always reserved and cautious, and don't show emotion, so they're often seen as a stubborn person……but, they actually have a compassionate side……? At the climax of the battle, they face the enemy with a cool style of "remaining immovable," unaffected by anything.
Kaguragi Dybowski Profile:
Lord of Toufu, an agricultural country. He's always smiling and has a gentle and friendly personality. However, the truth is he's willing to use dirty tricks to protect his country, and has exceptional negotiating techniques to get things done to work to his advantage. He's concerned about his younger sister Suzume, who married Shugoddam's Racules.
Jeramie Brasieri Profile:
Born to a father who was the sixth hero that saved mankind 2,000 years ago and a mother who was a Bugnarak, he has passed down the history of Chikyu for a long time as the "storyteller." His right arm is that of a Bugnarak, and he has a special ability to create strong webs from inside his body. His existence stirs up both the kings and Bugnarak, using words and actions that are difficult to read.
Racules Husty Profile:
As king of Shugoddam, he united the five kingdoms with his unparalleled and overwhelming charisma, but was defeated in trial by combat with his brother Gira, and was dethroned as king. While Gira and the others were away from Chikyu, he became the king of Shugoddam and ruled the country as Shugo Mask……
Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger: Costume Guide
The gorgeous costumes of the kings, which are reminiscent of the characteristics of each country. A guide to the current costumes and accessories worn by the characters since the beginning of the story.
Gira Husty
(Top) Costume of Gira, who replaced Racules as king of Shugoddam. The cape remains the same, but the costume and boots underneath have changed!
(Middle) His recognizable oversized shirt and the bright red harness that highlight it. Red and black straps cross over the wide collar.
(Bottom) The brown boots were worn by Gira as he escaped during the beginning of the story. The necklace is designed with five pieces of red glass.
Yanma Gast
(Top Right) Costume from the start of the new chapter two years later. The jacket has a design with a black belt hanging down. The cuffs have a zipper that can be opened and closed.
(Top Left) The wide pants are designed to be divided into upper and lower parts above the knee. The inner one has two lines on the front part. The color blue is used strikingly throughout.
(Middle) The cuff earring has ridges that grow alongside the ear, two chains, and N'kosopa's "King's Proof." The headphones have a cord connected to a switch.
(Bottom) Items that Yanma wears on his arms. The design of the shoes are silver with blue accents. They also have decorations that resemble headphones.
Kaguragi Dybowski
(Top) A luxurious and gorgeous costume that just screams, "I'm the lord of Toufu!" The sleeves of the haori have a distinct pattern on both the front and back. The beehive like patterns are also a key point.
(Bottom) The footwear seen under his kimono are boots. Furthermore, the soles are shaped to be like geta.
Hymeno Ran
(Top) From the new chapter, the shape of the sleeves and skirt have changed, and the large ribbon on the back is also one of its main features. The asymmetrical skirt produces cuteness and elegance. The tiara contains the "King's Proof."
(Middle Top) The previous costume was made up of a top, skirt, and corset. The skirt has volume, with the front being short and the back being long. The corset is laced up at the back.
(Middle Bottom) The sequin encrusted tights are the same design throughout the entire story. Also, the glittering shoes made entirely of gold are one of Hymeno's signature items.
(Bottom) Hymeno's Favorite Accessories:
Hymeno has a large number of accessories, including earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, which among them she'll use at random. This is the commitment to beauty!
Rita Kaniska
(Top Right) From the new chapter, Rita's clothes changed to a shorter length jacket. The metallic purple collar accentuates the black base color of the outfit.
(Top Left) The previous costume was a tailcoat type of long jacket. The black cloth is decorated with snowflake like patterns. The design of the purple collar and cuffs are the same as the costume for the new chapter.
(Bottom Left) The black gloves are one of the most distinctive features of Rita's costume. The bracelet decorated in the center has Gokkan's "King's Proof." There's a similar emblem on the cuff earring.
(Bottom Right) Rita is characterized by their all black outfit. Their knee length long boots are of course, also all black.
Jeramie Brasieri
From the new chapter, an elegant cape has been added to Jeramie's costume. In the previous costume, his right arm had a longer sleeve. The top is asymmetrical with the left side being longer.
