    conduits aren’t as rare as people think, events like empire city and seattle had scared most people.    it’d allowed arms of the government to form  -  like the dup, and grass roots factions like the militia in new marais. dedsec, whilst first and foremost a group of those with the ability to hack  -  had decided to take charge in keeping conduits safe. hideouts were willingly given. with hints coming out that the big three from seattle were here, but sitara had not expected to be approached as she tagged a billboard. she nearly jumped out of her skin.        ❛ didn’t your parents teach you not to sneak up on people who hang out on scaffolds in their spare time? ❜ valid question.   //  @scaeniicus [ eugene. ]: sc.

        coffee shops on every block, sitara didn’t want for much. however it doesn’t mean much when their mostly owned or bought out by giant corporations trying to target niche markets. even here, she doesn’t trust much. camera feeds are hacked, and there’s a dangerous feeling that comes with war. eyes glance up to realize the seat in front of her’s taken.  ❛ can i help you? ❜ she’s almost reptilian  -  a cobra ready to strike.  // @revivalisms: sc.

            her mind is ablaze with the uncertainty that the future brings. it’s coming close; there’s the end just off in the horizon.   dedsec’s on the cusp, on the brink of either greatness or ruin. it’s do or die and she’s   ━━━━    optimistic, if not a little scared.  (  this  fear  is  healthy,  all  things  considered.  ) even if she’s riddled with the pangs of doubt, she can hold on to the fact that they’re doing this together. maybe not forever, but certainly for now. glancing to the different stations of the hackerspace, she spots the green hoodie wearing programmer.                     ❛ still working on the mega drone? ❜  //  @lumiphonic: josh.

“That’s pretty reckless of you.” Still, he pulls off his mask to show her his smile. He carefully steps closer to her, acting like a shy teenager at the sight of her. He licks his lips & drops his gaze, holstering his gun before reaching up to brush some bangs from her face. God, he was weak. Imagine, the Vagabond was a romantic at heart when he thinks of the crap about ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder.’ 

 He teases her. “Lucky for you, I kinda like that.”

      they make each other weak, and while sitara never minded it  -  what worries her is how she feels it. everything was easier when the enemy of your enemy is your friend but it seems... even now, that it’s complicated. moreso than when blume and dedsec were at war. sitara’s brave in her movements, the way she moves closer as his hand brushes hair from her face. her scarf acts more like a hood, obscuring her from anyone that might see her. the smile that tugs at her lips is full, warm  -  oh, how she’d missed him.           ❛ are you staying around for a while? ❜

Unlike the hacktivist, the Vagabond is very clearly the stalking type. It’s part of his job requirements after all & it was a little careless of him to be skulking around the city to find her. His plans were to just leave after checking up on Sitara but that looked like plans changed the moment he heard very loud footsteps. 

His first response was to stop. He grabs his gun. 

But then she speaks & his shoulders sag. Like a child with their hand in the cookie jar, he turns, his posture reflecting how sheepish he felt. “The Vagabond didn’t plan on it but… Ryan was thinking about it.”

        a hacktivist isn’t supposed to be close with criminals, and yet here she is. not only talking to one, but outright approaching him while he’s still in his criminal garb. oh if prime_eight got a hold of this  -  she’d be f u c k e d. at least, temporarily. her brow raises in question as he speaks, muffled by the mask. there ryan goes, saying it as if the vagabond and ryan aren’t one in the same. her arms cross for a moment.             ❛ lucky for me i like both. ❜

       slow to approach, slower still to speak. sitara’s not the stalking type. no, she had been tagging a billboard and managed to see the sniper leaving the rooftop. she could at least give him a fright.  (  though  he  might  almost  kill  her.  )    footsteps are purposefully loud as she lifts her hand, waving slightly.              ❛ the vagabond comes back to town and doesn’t even bother saying hi? i’m hurt. ❜              she’s not, the smirk is audible in her voice.   //   @sortamaliicious
