I can’t wait for the day when I roll over in the arms of the love of my life, admiring the way the morning sun catches the diamond rings on our hands, and lights up her sleeping beauty. I can’t wait to hear the pounding of little feet on the hallway outside our bedroom door and a tiny voice yelling “mommy wake up!” I can’t wait to hear her grumble in annoyance and tell me “go get your kid babe” because when our child is being bad it’s automatically mine. I can’t wait to wake up earlier than her and cook her breakfast because I know she doesn’t like mornings, but waking up to coffee and a kiss makes her smile. I can’t wait to surprise her with flowers just because I love her. I can’t wait to have that someday… To know that we made it.
