Aimer is one of the special guests (along with Hanae Natsuki and Yuma Takahashi) during the Kimetsu World Tour LA Premiere on Feb 18, 2023. Sadly, I wasn't able to go but I was able to watch the livestream.

She sang Zankyosanka and Asa Ga Kuru with a live band. She sounds so good!

It's my dream to go to one of her concerts. I have to hear her sing live even once in my life.

Watch Night World.

Hey, so you know Aimer? The artist who’s written and performed some of the all-time greatest anime music? Well, to promote her most recent album, she put together a three-part music video opus that tells a series of short stories about, well, the night world, and the lost souls that stumble into it. And it is, without question, the greatest anime music video thing I’ve ever seen. Not only is the animation as beautiful as a picture-book fable come to life, the way it uses night as a metaphor for processing negative feelings and finding light even in your darkest moments, building in emotional complexity with each part, accomplishes more in thirty minutes than some anime manage in twelve whole episodes. I was swept away from start to finish, and the emotional crescendo in its final moments left me weeping in joy.

Oh, and Aimer’s music is fantastic, but you know that already.

Anyway, my point is, watch Night World. You can finish the whole thing in half an hour, and it’s all on Youtube with English subtitles. And just to make it easier, here’s part 1:

I really love the theme of Aimer's albums. All of their title has something to do with the sky: night, day, sun, rain.

So cool.

I like all her albums. But if I have to choose one, as of the moment of writing, then it is Daydream.

Before I knew the correct pronunciation, I read Aimer as ey-mer, like a person who aims something, and I think that's cool.

Then I learned her name is pronounced as e-me, a French word which means "to love", and I think that's beautiful.

When I talk about her with other people, I pronounced it the correct way, e-me. But on my mind, I still read it as ey-mer. 😆

I haven't watch the Fate series (to which Aimer is the main singer) yet, so I never heard Aimer before Zankyosanka.
