Where do the days go once they’re done?
May 25, 2024
It’s morning. I don’t usually post in the mornings, but there’s a first time for everything.
I’ve been floating a lot lately. I’m not really sure what my life is leading up to be. I feel kind of lost and behind in life. Trying to enjoy what I can while I can. It’s baby goose season.

Turns out class was cancelled today. I walked all the way and felt quite silly when no one else showed up.
I’ve been going to a new coffee shop and got a tea with pear syrup.
I didn’t photograph it, but this juvenile Bald Eagle circled around my head a few meters above me. I was too awestruck to take a picture.
Saw this majestic ass blunt sitting on the sidewalk.
Lastly, a collection of shells and do-dads I saw.

I’m posting this a day late. Sorry! I doubt I have any loyal and devoted fans to my personal, untagged diary blog though haha. No class today. Hung out with my friend Quinn.
I found this Neon Genesis Evangelion Garfield shirt at Goodwill. I called up my boyfriend and he said he wanted it. It’s a size too small but he joked about making it a crop top. I’ll give it to him when I see him in June for the Car Seat Headrest concert. I miss him terribly, though, I don’t know if I can make it that long.
Got this CD at the record store downtown. Julian said he had just priced it. When my friend Quinn showed it to me I just about ripped it from his hands. Sorry Quinn! It’s a little scratched on the jewel case, it the cover and disc inside are pristine. I’m so happy. This is one of my favorite albums ever. I still gotta get the CSH Faces From the Masquerade vinyl to complete my CSH collection, but it’s $40 and I do Not have that kinda money right now haha

This morning I got a tea before getting on the ferry. I find myself enjoying my math class. I enjoy doing math I understand. Today was too overcast to see the sky, as it often is here. We would have only gotten a tiny bit of the eclipse here anyway so I’m not too bothered. After class I went to the pub and got some fries. They upped the price by a dollar.
It’s almost the end of weird duck winter. Mergansers and mallards are the only ducks left. The herring gulls were quite hungry today. The tides were out so there were plenty of butter clams. I wonder how the eclipse affects the tide? The loons enjoyed some group diving. It was fun to watch them go down one by one and pop up in the same order. I can know spring is here even without a calendar because the beginning of spring is when the herons start moving in pairs.
Rest in peace, little song sparrow, whose body was still warm when I found them. They were not externally injured, it must have been internal. I knew it was too late when I saw blood coming from their beak, but I tried to resuscitate them regardless. I was scared to break their little ribs. I fear it was my fault they died. As I was walking, I was singing a song that came up with about finding a dead bird. After CPR didn’t work, I carried the bird home and tried to sing songs about them coming back to life. That didn’t work. I buried them in the garden.

Papa took me to a new hot dog place that opened up in the local mall. It’s weird seeing stores pop up there. For the longest time it’s just been empty save for a few shops that only stay for a month or so and a conservative video game store. But it’s really going somewhere now, it seems. There is a book store, candy store, hot dog store, music store, and more. It’s still a little desolate, but I can tell with the increasing population in our town that they’re trying to freshen it up a little.
I’ve been getting lots of bellyaches lately. The sharp kind. Super lame. I’ve also had hiccups for the past over-a-week.

Oh dear. Long time no see, haha.
The past two months have been odd. I have not gone on many walks, something I hope to remedy. It’s the perfect season for them, especially with my tendency to overheat.
But, despite things being quite boring, I’m still managing to have a good time. I’m getting my driving lessons done, something long overdue. I’ve been drinking tea just about everyday with my tea kettle. I’m slowly kicking my sugar habit, but I still load my tea with honey.
I’m listening to lots of music. This season’s playlist consists mostly of The Music Tapes, Radiohead, The Mountain Goats, and Elliott Smith.
The highlight of the past few months has been my boyfriend streaming again. I’m very proud of him.

On Tuesday it rained and rained. I wore my poncho and looked like a ghost. The tide was so high and the water was brown like coffee. There were so many worms on the road I had to pick up. At the bus stop I shared the only dry spot for miles (hyperbolic but barely) with a friendly spider. I didn’t see anyone on my walk until I reached town.
I found a big “Be Prepared To Stop” sign in the sea and pulled it out. I also found some fishing line and a mystery bone.
Today it rained and rained but I forgot my poncho. I saw 3 seals today.

I had so much fun seeing him. I love him so much. Home is nice, but it feels so empty without him. I didn’t take many pictures, but here’s some:
We made MFDOOM’s special Mac & Cheese recipe. Didn’t take any pics but it was bomb. We took turns being sick. I kissed him a lot. I met his friends & we all watched the fnaf movie. Very goofy. Very good. We went out for dinner a few times and planned the future. I can wait for it.
Some pics and a video from work today:

I’m at the airport on my way to see my love. The excitement has kept me too busy to post! Here’s some pictures as an apology.

Today I hung out with my aunt. I got a light haircut in anticipation for seeing my boyfriend for thanksgiving. Tomorrow marks 1 week until I see him! My aunt has been learning to make caramels for our work. She gave me a batch of too-chewy ones she said she couldn’t sell. They taste great. I’ll bring some to my boyfriend when I go see him.
Work was fine, nothing too exciting. My boss brought his dog Daphne. I call her Dappy.
After work my mom took me to the store and, in honor of getting my paycheck, I bought myself a new sweater.
Car Seat Headrest played on the radio on the car ride home and it made me very happy.

Cut a hole in my chai lid for a candy cane. But I didn’t cut all the way to the rim so the lid was still secure. Nobel Foundation, I expect my prize on my doorstep tomorrow at noon.
Work wasn’t quiet, but it wasn’t too busy either. Here’s some pictures I took today and the day before yesterday!
I can’t wait to see my boyfriend!! Less than 10 days until I get to see him. I’m so excited. I also can’t wait to meet his friends. I’m so happy he’s found friends. Ah!! I’m smiling so hard thinking about it.

It’s been a good few days.
I’ve been in my head a little bit lately. Not in a bad way, just in a way where I haven’t been paying much attention to the world. I feel like my art has improved a little bit. U-ﻌ-U
Quinn wants to cross the bridge to check out the Goodwill bins tomorrow, I am excited to go! I’ve never been to the bins before. I have heard many good things about it but really I’m just looking forward to not doing the same three things we always do.
I’ve been listening to a lot of Car Seat Headrest (duh), AJJ, The Mountain Goats, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Microphones, and Olivia Tremor Control lately. Along with many other bands, of course, but my focus has been on those 5 this past week.
No dinner left for me so I’m eatin Cheezits now
November 4th, 2023
This morning brought rains that flooded the town, but left beautiful glitter on my screen door
Today I got to try the dog dental kit I bought on Zelda. She seemed willing. I’m very glad she was. As she gets older I hope to do this more.
November 3rd, 2023
I spent some time with my aunt today. It was really nice. We went thrift shopping like old times and it felt so nice when I could make her laugh. She’s always been such a great person to me and the first person I was really able to relate to growing up. I think we will make a habit of hanging out more often. Maybe every Friday. That’s be nice.

Long day.. I am too tired to explain much of it but I can tell you the highlights! I saw some lovely sights.
And I saw some pistachio shells that looked like deer ears
And I wondered why some of the squares filled but not others
Three good things about today: my mom made me a quesadilla with tea and chicken & stars for lunch, I bought a chai for the lunch lady that told me she’s never had one and she was very grateful, and I went with my papa to pick up a Dutch apple pie.
That’s all I have energy for. It’s very late. Goodnight.

Today was very draining. I had two essays due, one of which I still need to do, and a math test. I studied all day for the math test and got a 60%. I’m starting to wonder if I’m cosmically doomed.
Anyways, here’s some pictures I took today.
