still so enamoured with the way iwtv vampires are attracted to ageing bodies - it makes sense, logically, because our tastes all change as we age, but vampires are So Often depicted as being obsessed with youth and teenagers (most often because casting directors and writers want the actors to visually match in age, even if the characters have a 100+ year age gap), so when louis in season 1 episode 1 smiles and says "you've gotten old" to daniel, and in season 2 episode 5 he says "do you want to (have sex with me)?" to daniel, and in the vampire lestat, when lestat's eyes linger on gabrielle and daniel, and when armand cant even read minds because hes so infatuated with daniel, it hits! it hits like crazy!
