I'm currently in 'avoiding writing the overblot' mode, but that does mean that there might be three whole chapters ready to post once I actually do it.
(Genuinely the chapter after that has been like 80% done for a few weeks lmao there's just one insert scene I'm still working on, then the chapter after that just depends on how long I spend procrastinating on the important stuff XD)
I'm not saying it'll be a full wrap-up of the Heartslabyul arc in one go, but, you know, almost...

Finally got so fed up with all the ai writer tools my word processor keeps adding (including but not limited to them not letting me spellcheck in any language other than US english for years now) that I went and downloaded word 2007 from the archives. Thank you for old timey non-ai spellcheck in uk english so I don't have to keep second-guessing whether I'm spelling things wrong or just not the american way
I'm so glad AO3 put through that update to display what chapter comments are being posted on, because whenever I get an email for a comment on the first chapter of a mult-chap fic the day after I update it I know there's a 75% chance it's spam and so I don't bother getting excited about it

wow, the art scammers are being real try-hards now, going onto my long-dead fictionpress (which is 75% poetry and one 2-chapter wip I never did anything with) and trying to pretend they think I wrote something super cool
putting date-stamps on my chapters to help me keep track of the timeline and man, it really drives home how rapid-paced some of the story arcs are XD (I'm not quite finished blocking out the heartslabyul stuff but still.)
The actual days are an arbitrary decision I made in order to put the OB during the weekend lmao but otherwise I'm doing my best to stick to a plausible timeline as presented by the game (it matches with the 2027 calendar if you're curious)

My advanced writing has officially reached heartslabyul-savanaclaw interlude territory while the front half of the heartslabyul arc watches me from the shadows as I run away from it XD
Funnily enough putting it in writing that I would only update my twst fic once I'd finished writing an arc has not in fact made me feel any less conflicted about long breaks in posting. All it has done is made it feel less like a crime to be jumping back and forth between chronologically different scenes and chapters.
It feels bad that I'm like 75% done with the next two chapters and instead of forcing my brain to let my finish them I am instead messing around with post-overblot things, but it is what it is.
Today for some reason my brain kicked into overdrive and I wrote nearly 4.5k for a brand new fic, which is probably the most productive I have ever been in my life lmao
I finished it. 6.3k in two days and it's all Dottore's fault.
My brain wouldn't let the idea rest so now it's closer to 10k, but I think I'm properly done with it this time.
This weird little Zandik-centric fic has somehow already become my 3rd most popular genshin fic (which admittedly isn't saying much because, as someone not writing fic for popular ships, the engagement is inherently lower)

An important background point in that Sunday fic I started writing like a whole freaking year ago is the fact that this (aka the white night video collab) is canon in-universe. I'm devastated that I can't find the post it came from anymore (it was one of the ones about Harmony TB) but anyway this is my one proof that it wasn't a fever-dream XD
I have (more or less) finished the end of my Mondstadt arc fic, now I uh... just have to go back and finish the middle, lmao
