A lot of people say they never knew what love was until they met someone else. But it was more than that with her. I never knew what feelings were before her. I didn't know what my emotions were or what they represented about me or the image I gave out to the world. Nor did I really care. And then there she was. With her bright eyes and even brighter smile and she stirred something in me that until this day has never failed to go away.
I love her. I think that's what this feeling. I read somewhere..or maybe I saw it in a movie, that you can hardly think of a time without them, or that you feel so filled up with happiness you may explode. I don't know if that's exactly what I feel but I know there's something there. I know that before her I was just a person floating along and now I'm a person who has a purpose. Who has wants and desires. She gave that. She anchored me and helped me find a home.
I want to hold her through all of her darkest nights and kiss her awake when the light finally comes through. I've heard people say a lot of things about age, about young love, and other nonsense. But if I've seen anything around here, it's that age never mattered. I see it in the way Danny and Abby look at each other or the way James looks at his baby girl and Juliet, I see it in the way Cayne and Arabelle hold onto each other, or the way Travis seems to float towards Izzie or even the way Cameron stares at Jasmine when she has no idea he's looking. I've seen it in all of these people who were never quite my friends but who I have come to know as my family.
I love Aelia. I love her. I love her. I love her.
And that is the only thing I have ever been sure of.
