Hsr 4.4 spoilers

The quest waaas...good?

Honestly a bit underwhelming, I found myself doing other things or losing focus during it (and it's coming from someone who did a Penacony quest of six hours in one sitting because I loved it so much AND who did Amphoreus with a lot of interest)

It was 4h long but it felt a bit longer than that (not by much but more like a 5h quest than a 4h one...)

BUT, I will give them that they prepared the fight against Asat Pramad better than they prepared the fight against Iron Tomb. Perhaps the fact that it was not the climax of the story helped because at least it didn't feel underwhelming, for me.

Also, sorry but I can't hate Asat Pramad- I can't believe that he didn't care for Himeko even a bit during all these years as her father. It was too real, even for someone playing a role so I do think he cared a bit. Not enough to stop his plans and his insanity but enough to have given her hope when he knew she needed it.

Now...

Yeah the story was good. I won't say perfect but there was an effort to make it quick, opposed to Iron Tomb final. They tried to be more frantic, more running out of time (I guess I really can't get over how they ruined (for me at least) Amphoreus final with Cyrene talking about love and a "romantic story" for so long that it felt like Iron Tomb had taken a break from destroying the universe). I have hope that they will manage to make it more "frantic" looking as they already improved a LOT with Planarcadia.

Now the elephant in the room.

Himeko.

Oh my god I cried with my trailblazer when Himeko was saying her goodbyes. And gosh, it was heartbreaking hearing my character sobbing in real time, I felt her pain so much.

I didn't go very far in Honkai Impact for many reasons but I didn't witness her death and even then I cried. I can't imagine being a Nameless without Himeko.

She is our guiding light after all hehe.

But yeah, it wouldn't be a trailblazing journey without her. It's like going home to your mom waiting for you to come back (at least for those who relate, I don't wish to hurt anyone). She IS my mom in game and I love her even more than I loved Honkai Impact Himeko (which, again, I didn't see very much). With one person missing, it's not the Astral Express.

So yeah, her saying her goodbyes? Heartbreaking, never do that again please.

BUT THEN

Caelus (for me) shows up and spoils everything there is to come and they say it's me from the future???

(Honestly how because there are not many ways to become a man and perhaps Stelle will become one, I don't know, but if not HOW can she be Caelus)

My theory is that it's us from the future, yes, but another timeline, another reality. The one we didn't choose at the beginning of the game was sent somewhere else and already witnessed everything we are going through. However they are only warning us now because the threat is becoming bigger very quickly.

And apparently, we ARE the threat (if Asat Pramad didn't lie and was serious when saying that the Trailblaze path was the fourth path next to the Destruction, the Harmony and the Nihility when it comes to the end of the universe) so it makes sense.

I don't know if the q/a we did was pure luck or if the dice were already set according to the question but I think I asked the good questions as I only got one bad dice haha.

Anyway, I have a lot of expectations for the next quest now, I do feel like they can do something really good but I hope the final will be as good as Penacony's.

It's like

35°c and I got sick (yeay)

My throat is on fire AND medicine does not lower my fever by a lot.

HOWEVER it didn't stop me to finally do the most recent HSR story quest (with Mortenax Blade)

HELP ME WHY IS THERE A FOUND FAMILY AT EVERY CORNER IN THIS GAME????

I was DESTROYED with Sliver Wolf speech because it's Blade, of course she will care, it's HIM, like a brother, like a family.

I already knew the Stellaron Hunters were kinda a big family but I never really saw it.

I don't think I can go back now, I adore this game so much they are doing so well

I'm currently playing FFXVI, I don't know how long I have left but I think I'm half way through.

I'll just ramble about it.

It's a very good game. It has some minors flaws to my eyes like the motion blur, I turned it down to minimum but we can't turn it off... or the fact that we can't interact with anything that is not scripted (like building and else) but I know that it's not an open world so it makes sense. Still a bit frustrating but logical.

Otherwise? I love it. For now I'll just talk about the characters and not the story (even though it's good).

He is such an amazing character. I love how they made him and how it is sooo well done. Like, yeah he did things, things that are not completely good either but it doesn't change the fact that he tries to do better.

I love also the fact that he looks like an adult but not like an elder man. They managed it so well, it doesn't feel like playing a teenager or an old person.

And his personality? Amazing. He is serious but he is kind but not too much, he shows his emotions (like many FF characters) but it's not over the top. It's natural, he feels like a human being and I love it. He is gentle, empathetic but also strong and serious. I love how he treats Jill and how he acts in general.

Now Jill.

For now, I don't know luch about her but I love her too. First she is sooo pretty, I love her outfit and hair and I like how she is not fighting in a tiny skirt with a bra as a shirt (I have nothing against FF characters look but yeah some are NOT designed to fight monsters). She is reliable, strong, kind but also soooo clever. She CAN survive without a man, she did after all and she does not live for a man, she lives for a cause, a better future. She fights with Clive but they share the same aim. She IS herself, she just finally can be herself without being used.

I love it. What I said about Jill does apply to many FF characters because I never felt like the women needed a man to be useful and all. They have their ambitions, their personalities, their dreams and fears. It's honestly one of the biggest strength of the franchise.

Anyway I'll come back later when I'm done with the game but for now, it's a very good one

I watched a "live" yesterday from the band I've been following for YEARS now and they were making a Tier List of their songs.

They put my favorite at the top of the list.

This song is just amazing and powerful and it makes soooo much sense in the context of the album and the singer's voice is so pretty, the lyrics are amazing, the music goes so well

I finished the 4.2 hsr story quest (yes I'm a bit late but anyway)

I won't talk a lot about it but I need to say tso things.

Firstw they improved the pacing by A LOT (and it comes from someone who LOVED Amphoreus). The quests are hours long but it does not feel like hours

Oh completely forgot to tell you BUT my computer works!

I went to the store and they tried to charge it and it worked! They then told le that I needed to use a specific base to be sure it works because I learnt that 62% for a battery is bad- like my battery should have been between 100 and 80% of its "integrity", under that it's defective so...mine is dying. I can't use my computer withouth charging it often BUT for now it works and that's all I wanted

Soooo

I started FFIX almost a week ago.

I

Love it.

It's sooo good! I'm almost 10h in (I must confess, an hour was probably lost because I fell alseep in the car while playing (I managed to pause the game before sleeping)). The story is for now insanely good, the characters are amazing (for now Steiner either makes me mad or impressed). Vivi is an absolute must protect from everything (and I LOVE how everyone just agrees that Vivi IS to be protected and how they just adopted him so easily it's so precious).

Dagga is good too! I am used now in the franchise to see women willing to do things and not just waiting for everything to happen which is great honestly, they have such amazing female characters.

Freyja wow, I love her design she is so cooool! Really well done, but I don't know her enough yet to go deeper than that.

The cutscenes are stunning, the artwork is beautiful, the musics never disappoint.

I do have one problem though.

The battles. Oh gosh I don't like it at all. The system is similar to FFVIII and FFVII with the ATB but, and perhaps it's because in the version I have of FFVII and FFVIII I can speed up time, it takes an eternity to fill. I also don't understand why they take so long to attack once I selected their action. Maybe it's because I only have the digital version but it can be troublesome when the ennemy hits my characters twice while the characters still haven't moved.

You see, I told my mother that if I could switch FFX and FFIX gameplays, then FFIX would be perfect in my eyes.

Oh also, I didn't understand a thing to the card game- at least when I played the Triple Triad in FFVIII I it was only because I didn't get what the number meant on the cards-

I'll give it a try at some point, we'll see.

Stupid night thoughts but I just realized Sanji is the only Strawhat with biological siblings-

Like, Luffy has Ace and Sabo, Nami has Nojiko and Franky has Iceburg but the only one with an horrible relationship with his siblings is Sanji.

I think it reinforces how blood has nothing to do with relationships and that one's true family can be anywhere they feel loved.

I love that idea.

The great news is that my computer's battery decided to stop working 🙃 I have no idea what to do AND I don't have much battery left to do anything useful (5%...)
