Hey there everybody! My fic for the digital version of @akamatsuzine , Overture, is now out! The version of this fic in the zine features spot art by the lovely @shegananigans , and it definitely brings out the best version of the fic in my opinion, so if you get the chance definitely give it a look in there!

As for the fic itself, it features Kaede on the day of the sports festival, just the tiniest bit nervous about the upcoming proceedings. Her hands are the most important part of her, after all, and what would happen to her if they were injured? Well, it'd probably be pretty catastrophic, one would think.

Writing this fic was a lot of fun. It was my first time writing Akane, and I had a lot of fun getting into her character for the time she was in the piece. I hope you all like it!

Hey there, everybody! I'm getting started on publishing my backlog of completed fics that are just sitting in my google docs (I know, I know) and thought that I should start here, on account of the fact that @akamatsuzine is currently undergoing leftover sales! So if you like this fic or another one I'm gonna get around to posting, like, probably tomorrow, give the zine a peek! There's a lot of good content in there.

This fic in particular, The Weight of Lead, takes place during the killing game, featuring Akamatsu Kaede along with Hoshi Ryoma. The two of them are talking when Kaede asks a very dangerous question, which leads to a very dangerous conversation as far as her plan to take down the mastermind is concerned.

There's a lot of unexplored space between Hoshi's relationship to killing and Akamatsu's own plan, and this fic was intended to chart that territory. I definitely wrote my heart out with this one, and I'm quite proud of it! Lav knocked it out of the park with the spot art in the zine version of the fic, too, so if you want to see it in its original form, give the zine a peek! Otherwise, I hope you enjoy it!
