Selling offline is better for us than online

There was lot of work when we were selling T-Shirts online, but there was no profit. We find offline business much better than doing online business, because the chances of loss is minimal. Work is less but it is meaningful, and is profitable.

Although we are trying here to make our own E-Commerce website from where people can buy our T-Shirts.

We have completely halted selling on Meesho, and here is the reason why?

We joined Meesho an E-Commerce Marketplace, in JAN 2022, and even before completing 1-year, we have decided to stop selling on Meesho, the reason is very simple, we fulfilled thousands of orders, but gained nothing in profits. We worked like labours, and in return only people who benefited from our efforts were the manufacturers by selling us the raw products and the Meesho itself from the ads.

We would not have stopped selling on Meesho completely, but their staff (the account managers) started bullying us by placing forced ads on daily basis from our account, even though we used to stop the ads campaigns.

Also, we realised that orders that we receive are mostly fake orders, which will destroy your business online, but Meesho will continue to make money from your ad campaigns. 25-40 percent orders are fake, we got excited in the beginning that, “wow, business is accelerating now”, but nothing accelerates, after selling on Meesho for a year, I am in complete loss (negative balance) with a huge piles of products that were result of fake orders.

Winter is coming 2022-2023

During the winter season, T-Shirts sales gets down in North India. During this season, Hoodies/Sweatshirts will be in high demand. Soon, we will be launching our lates Hoodies online on Meesho. But we hope we also get T-Shirts order from South India, where the cold doesn’t affect that much.

Our own E-Commerce Website to be launched soon

Akash Prints, is a T-Shirt, Hoodies, Mugs, and Gifts printing and customization company. We sell our products on some of the popular Marketplaces online. Although these marketplaces like Meesho, Amazon provide us with lot of freedom, but in the end they belong to someone else. If for any reason our account gets deleted, then we would have no option to reach our online buyers and for this reason we are currently developing our own E-Commerce store.
