Those of you who follow me probably know me for my music right now. I just wanted to address my next album a little bit. Initially I didn't want to address anything about the album because I thought it would take away from the artistic part of it, but I feel the message I want to convey is more important than that. I wrote my last album "black" in the midst of a very dark time and the music reflected that. At the time nobody reallly listened to my music, I didnt have any following. Then I started gaining momentum because of all these sad songs I wrote and people would come to saying "your music saved my life" and "I listen to your music when I'm sad" and don't get me wrong, that's so flattering and I'm glad I can be involved in that way, but it kind of makes me feel bad. If people listen to songs that are sad when they're sad; then itll only perpetuate the cycle. So I'm trying to break that cycle with this album.  Black was me showing the sad people of the world "hey, I'm just like you, you're not alone" and this album, white, is me saying "let me help you get out of this rut" every song on this album is representative of the things that brought me back to life. It’s honestly a challenge for me to write happy songs and that’s why it’s taking me so long to create. When you’re sad you just want to write songs, but when you’re happy you want to go enjoy the world, so creating this album is really putting me to the test. I hope you not only enjoy this album, but find meaning and refuge in it if it's something you need in your life. Coming this year, I promise.

hello

new to tumblr. trying to figure this out. this post is more or less a test post, but i’ll tell you a bit about myself while im here. i’m a 21 year old alternative artist from indianapolis (currently living in orlando) and i just love making music. my album “black” is available on all platforms and i’m currently working on my next album as well. i can’t imagine i’ll be an artist forever- i’m not cut out for fame, but i would like to write for other singers some day.
