Can't stop thinking about that post that says falling first and falling harder isn't about loving someone more, it's about the way they fall.

Because it's so Damen and Laurent.

Damen fell first and his experience was a slightly giddy silly jaunt over rooftops with a sunrise and smiles, bright like a revelation.

Whereas Laurent was thrown off his horse and he hit the ground hard and had a near death experience that was all bruises and panic and pain and shock, blunt like a blow to the head.

Damen fell first, but Laurent -quite literally- fell harder.
