Procrastinating a bit today. Going to go through all the cards that have been designed so far to make sure that 

a) I have the file

b) They’ve been shared to this blog as well as my insta page 

c) They’ve been added to the Carrd artist page

I have a couple of artists who have wanted to redo their cards and some artists who are still working on them, so if I have the chance today I’ll try to check in with everyone and see where we’re all at.

I have messaged all of the remaining artists. There is 1 person who has definitely dropped out and another 5 or 6 that I haven’t heard from since I first sent them the info about their cards so if any of them don’t get back to me soon I’ll be looking for new people to take their places lmao

things have been kinda busy lately so i’m spending some time today catching up on sharing submitted art and adding finished cards to our artists page on Carrd

Another card from the Queen Tarot project @akindoftarot ! After having the honor of drawing The Hermit from the major arcana I got asked to draw also a card from the minor arcana and I had so much fun, I'm really proud of this illustration! 😍😍😍

"The suit of pentacles is associated with the element of earth and thus is the most grounded of the suits. It represents resilience, responsibility, nature and work. In readings it often appears in relation to resources we have, our body, our finances, and our sense of security. The Threes are related to communication, finding your stride and forward movement." 🌟 In this deck the Pentacles are associated with John and represented by records, while the 3 is represented by the boys' first trip to Japan, so I wanted to draw John in his beautiful kimono and making it "alive" as if the cranes and trees took life out of it! 😍

He's showing the 3 records made by the band until then: Queen (purple), Queen II (white) and Sheer Heart Attack (red), all related to the card's teamwork meaning. 💖💜💕💖💕💜 I really hope you'll like it as much as I do! 😊💖💖💖

I'm so excited for the deck, like incredibly excited. I can't wait to buy it & use it constantly. Hopefully it's enough to create even more!!

oh gosh hard same!! i’ve just been so blown away by the response it got and how many people wanted to part of it and i’m so so excited to see it all come together into an actual deck!! and i’m thrilled that other people want this deck too!

finally finished my part of Queen tarot project hosted by @akindoftarot! so happy to be a part of this project ‘cause i finally could draw all the guys properly this time! it’s been so fun!

This is my Tarot card for the A Kind Of Tarot Project!! I am very happy about this result and it’s probably the longest time I’ve ever spent on a single work.

“As a card judgement represents renewal and reincarnation and I think connecting with Adam created a renewal of sorts for Queen.”

My idea was based on the Rider-Waite Smith deck, published 1909, and is widely considered the most popular tarot deck for tarot card reading. The judgement card can be seen next mine in this post.

The Judgement card’s “traditional scene is modeled after Christian imagery of the Resurrection and Last Judgement. An angel, possibly Metatron, is depicted blowing a great trumpet. A group of resurrected people stand, arms spread, looking up at the angel in awe.”

My idea was to have the angel be represented by ’81 Rock Montreal Queen and current Queen is being “reborn” with Adam!

For those who don’t know, Tarot is a form of divination that uses a deck of cards. Each of the cards have symbolic meanings attached to them that can be interpreted to answer questions and give insight into the past/present/future.

Upright: self-evaluation, awakening, renewal, purpose, reflection, reckoning;

Reversed: self-doubt, lack of self-awareness, failure to learn lessons, self-loathing;

For those that don't know what I'm talking about, we are creating a collaborative tarot deck inspired by the band Queen! It’s open to any one who’d like to create an art piece and more information can be found in THIS post. All of the Freddie cards have been claimed and we're down to: 1 Brian, 1 John and 4 Roger! I've edited the survey to remove the fully claimed suits so if you do want to be part of this project, fill out THIS SURVEY and I’ll get back to you with your card (I would have created an entirely new survey but surveymonkey have recently changed some things and ranking questions are no longer free 🙄 so we're making do with editing the old one lmao) If you have sny questikns please DM me and I'll do my best to answer them 😊

Hey! I was just wondering, when is the deadline for the minor arcana cards?

i haven’t set an official deadline just because theres so many people involved from different countries and like some people have school work and some are still dealing with quarantine situations and its all just a bit confusing lmao plus i want everyone to have enough time that they can make something they’re happy with and some people are working on multiple cards. my intention is to check in with people after a few months just to see how things are going. 

but, if you are the kind of person who works best with a deadline then DM me and we’ll figure something out for you!

We have a new artists page! I’ve set up a Carrd page where all of the submitted artwork has been posted. Each image links to its artist when clicked on so everyone can see who created each piece. I'll keep posting things there as more cards are submitted and I’ve added the link to this tumblr’s page! It’ll also be going in the bio of my instagram as soon as I’ve finished dealing out minor arcana cards.
