Okay I'm amending my previous "how and why is Bob going to go supernova" theories after the trailer

-If it's apparent early on (thanks to Thor) just how dire the situation is and how much they're going to need a secret weapon then I don't think the New Avengers will be able to keep Bob under wraps for long even if they want to. And it'd be kind of an ethically iffy move if they don't at least tell the others how he might be able to help? He's obviously the only answer to the question of "Well okay if Doom is THAT bad how do we even stand a chance of not dying"

-This is where "Yelena asks Bob to use his powers" might come in. Everyone is like "well we need you buddy" but Bob is terrified of unleashing the Void again and is really conflicted. On the one hand, he knows that they need him and that without him they'll probably lose, but on the other hand if he can't control it, the end result might be just as bad as them losing. Until Yelena is finally able to get through to him and convinces him that if he trains somehow he can learn to control his powers

-He's off doing that in the background for most of the movie, but the problem is that he's so scared of losing control that now his powers are blocked and he can't use them even with effort (e.g. Eleven at the end of ST3)

-There is a big moment right before the end of Act 2 that spontaneously triggers the reemergence of Sentry instead (possibly Yelena getting hurt). Bob explodes and that's when his powers come out in full force, transitioning the film into Act 3 and whatever bonkers fight sequence we're probably going to get right before the end of the movie

Howver this happens it's not going to be a fun time for our guy 😞

You know I've always been skeptical with the decision of making Sentry's blonde artificial in TBs, but if he doesn't have even the slightest gold/light effect in his hair in Doomsday and it's just normal brunette Bob with the suit I'm going to knock at the Russos' door and slam my half-omnibus on their heads.

"I was a part of your world" - Sentry fancomic

It's been ages since I worked on more than 2 consecutive pages and I wanted to see if I was still able to do it, and I REALLY wanted to draw a comic for "My Name", using the whole song. I can't deny I'm not fully satisfied and it took me way too long, but I'm still glad that at least I managed to somewhat finish this. It's messy, but it helped me figure out a few things and learn new ones.

This comic is inspired by the original "Sentry" run by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee, and I made it for the character's debut's anniversary on July 19th 2000. The entire text is the lyrics from the song "My Name" by AURORA ft. Ane Brun, which always heavily reminded me of the first series' plot and its concept of wanting -needing- desperately to be forgotten, for everyone's sake. I recommend listening to the song before/while reading!

All characters belong to @ Marvel Comics. A couple of panels are directly based on Jae Lee's.
