Been thinking about the Elf girl

Sousou no Frieren has been on my mind lately. The anime adaptation really feels like the antithesis to most of what comes from MAPPA studio. I think Madhouse really hit the mark with creating a show that says a lot through saying as little as possible, doing a lot with as little animation as possible, and knowing when to put the chips down on scenes that demand it. Its ability to use color and framing to capture your attention without needing to be flashy or have complex designs really makes it feel like a show made with love and purpose, not simply a product to be consumed and forgotten. It's refreshing to see something be a creation of passion, rather than a product of overwork.
