i still have hope they’ll show the aftermath of the true hypnosis mic in kuukou (and sasara lol)!!!!!!!! up until he figured out what happened to him, i think he and sasara had similar thoughts about it, that even if they don’t understand what happened, it still did and life keeps going. but even tho they both were being avoidant towards those feelings when asked about their partners, kuukou at the end of ‘the heart’s conviction will not waver’ tells ichiro to wait for him, unlike sasara who laughed his way around talking about samatoki and samatoki never came up again lol

bat’s overall thematic journey with the drbs is proof of strength, like their cyclical stories show that they are now strong enough to handle what hurt them in the past and it forges bonds stronger than what they had in the past. in the 2nd drb, it had been hitoya’s battle of strength and bonds, and in the final drb, it was kuukou’s. so that break up really hurt kuukou lol for his underlying b plot to be making it back to ichiro’s side

glory or dust and the six colours track sums up just about why kuukou was rushing right back to ichiro lol, he thinks ichiro is his fate, he promised never to leave him and look how he (before understanding why) ruined that
