*these are sadness deaths, I actually saw quite a few of them on my playthrough because I DIDNT KNOW YOU COULD RUN FROM BATTLES I DIED SO MANY TIMES AND IT WAS ALLFORNOTHING— anyway. Since most people ( ☹️ ) managed to work that out, or were just better at fighting than me, I think not many people got to organically see the sadness death dialogue?? At least I don’t see a lot of talking about it, which sucks cause MY LORD. It hurts me in the best ways. And some of it is SO fascinating seriously I’m not done talking about it I’m just gonna pace my posts so I don’t spam the tags too much

Ok I know it's not really the same but if we're talking about lines we noticed while reading the script project: my favorite lines of dialogue in the whole game aren't ones I got myself without going out of my way for it, and you only see it if you do isabeau's friendquest, in act 4, without having done bad touch:

Random 5 am thought: when I was a kid, and actually even when I reencountered the song at like 18, I thought that Hey Soul Sister was referring to soulmates, you know like, you meet/hook up with someone and within a day you're like "every second around you I fall a little more" (I don't wanna miss a single thing etc etc)

I'm sure you can imagine my flat disappointment when I looked at the genius page and realized what it was actually about

Traveling One

it started out as just perspective practice - siffrin's a perfect subject since their design is so simple

in the end, along with figuring out how to place characters in scenes better, i learned a whole lot about coloring and shading and stock photo usage policies!

and, seeing siffrin in different places, whimsically wandering through the world and reflecting the colors of the places he goes ... it really makes me happy

I swear I lost like all my friendships bc of this, like I had a group of friends in hs that one day I realized “huh I haven’t talked to this people in a while” and popped in to say hi and they were all awkward?? because they hadn’t seen me in a while?? and that’s when I realized that friendship works different for them?? Also I have a thing where I just put the people on pause. If I don’t see them or contact them, my brain kinda put them in stasis. I don’t think about them nor misses them, and I stay on what I last knew about them (how they look, what they study/work). So when we meet again I’m like “wait, you’ve aged?” and I have the same familiarity with them thanI had before.

Ok but listen, on the other side of this, as a person who moved hundreds of miles away from everyone i knew and then became a hermit for several years, it was SUCH A FUCKING RELIEF to get in contact with an old friend and have him be like, “my friendship levels do not degrade, so in my mind we are still awesome close buddies” and i almost fkn cried. I thought he would be mad or would have moved on because i had slacked on my reaching out to him and staying in touch and doing all the friendship things. But NOPE. 800 miles of distance, depression, and life changing circumstances didnt steal our friendship and i am SO GRATEFUL.

I have literally no friendship degradation whatsoever. I will not have spoken to someone for 5 years or more, and they’re still as much a friend to me as if I had only seen them yesterday. I’m just very bad at communicating if someone is not in my direct orbit. So when Sonja reappeared on this site I basically screeched into her notes like a banshee because I was delighted and we picked straight back up where we’d left off.

This is a little sneak preview of a video I've spent the last 5 months making about In Stars and Time's soundtrack, and with me getting pretty close to being done, might as well start trying to promote it

(also yes I need to rebalance the audio ;-;)

I set the premiere for 2 PM EST today so if y'all wanna stop by, cool! It'll still be there afterwards (unless I get copyright dunked on which it seems like I'm not so far?), so no pressure.
