while I do think that omitb's theme season being autumn fits the show perfectly... I really need a winter version too
NSFW — Do you project your kink(s) onto your Blorbo and/or any fan-contents you made about them, be it fanfic, fan art or something else?
Yes, I do
No, I don’t
I don’t have any kinks
Every poll on this blog is about fictional characters only. This request was sent to us and we made a poll in response to it. Send any Blorbo-related question you want to our inbox and we’ll make a poll on which people can vote with their own Blorbos in minds
I have such mixed feelings about Mon Mothma's storyline in Andor, because, on the one hand, I love getting a close look at her personal and professional life during the Imperial period...on the other hand, I can't shake the feeling that the creator(s) of the show really dislike her. At least, they have no respect for her character before she commits to the Rebellion. As though everything she did as a senator in the Republic, working closely with Padmé and Bail, was meaningless because it wasn't enough to prevent the rise of the Empire (or because it wasn't dark, gritty, or violent enough). The show treats Bail Organa's character poorly too, and never even mentions Padmé.
Did anyone else get this impression? Or is it just me?
Negativity doesn't not equal fun, I guess I enjoy writing long ass posts about something negative?? Not really, but it does help me.

MM excerpt from Moving Target by Jason Fry- Set before Return of the Jedi - the Rebel Alliance learns about the second deathstar
Best Mon and Leia in canon, actually this is one of the best material about Mon. Some phrases and descriptions, I can practically see and hear Genevieve?? Love how Mon is written here so much, her position, her heartaches, her authority and limitations, her relationship with Leia and Chandrila... Just so good.
Also always generally love seeing how the Rebel Alliance works.

But seriously the musical songs from s3 are all catchy I listen to them on a repeat 😂😂😂

Think the Villains affect my enjoyment more significantly than I thought
I do think that the most interesting thing about Mon in MoF is not that she's tortured or body-modified but that she's granted a full agency and her actions as a senator is considered with consequences and weight and is allowed abilities and merits beyond giving a speech or having money and finally is really intentional - in all her choices and maneuvers. No space for people to not get it.
Definitely could have done without the mechanical stomach thing lol, not because it devalues her Andor arc somehow, but because dark history doesn't inherently make something interesting. Mon's special cause she's a great politician that's insane enough to do all that. Like the author excellently demonstrated. But the author apparently liked the blorbo whump too.
But the specific fact that she got hurt doesn't devalue her journey or the book to me. Yes her journey can stand without some explosion, that explosion's not really needed and can be seen as excessive due to that, but that also means that her arc is meaningful separate from all that.
despite enjoying mask of fear, andor!mon is kinda more interesting to me if you ignore it. the presumed lack of genre-typical trauma and violence as backstory is part of why she's interesting
I do find it funny how in my country musical fans are like 'hey look they tried to tighten up the story!!!' and casual fans are like 'I don't think the overall story or the character motivations are well drawn out' lol
tbh I loved all the female characters' love story- including Nessa, this is important - so I had a real good time so I don’t really care... but part 1 numbers are certainly better, that I agree
So Charles's confirmed exes are
- Lucy's mom
- the one that Sazz snatched
- Jan
