🌿 Please Don’t Scroll — My Family’s Lives Depend on This
My name is Ayad, and I’m writing this with trembling hands from Gaza.
Every night, I go to sleep not knowing if my family and I will wake up again. The sky never quiets down, the ground shakes constantly, and we’ve already lost everything we once called home. We’ve been displaced seven times, running from one place to another, only to find more destruction waiting for us.
Now, we are trapped in Rafah — my parents, my siblings, my nieces and nephews — 14 souls, including a newborn baby, a pregnant sister, and my cousin Mohammed, who has Down Syndrome. Each bombing terrifies him so much that he stops breathing.
And my sister Inshirah, who is battling cancer, urgently needs medical evacuation. Every day she grows weaker. Every day the hospitals run out of medicine.
I’m trying to raise funds to evacuate my entire family to safety in Egypt, before it’s too late. The cost is far beyond anything we can afford.
If we don’t make it out soon, I’m afraid we won’t make it at all.
I’ve seen too much loss. My dream of finishing my final year in dental school and becoming a dentist now feels so far away — but right now, my only dream is survival.
