An all time favourite project of mine for a cause I’m very passionate about !

The brief: find a way to get girls to play sport. I established 3 main issues as to why girls didn’t continue playing sport after school

1. Lack of opportunities

2. Lack of motivation and encouragement

3. Lack of recognition for their achievements.

To combat these issues I created a 3 stage system:

1. I can break the barrier - which provides opportunities by making the process of finding sporting opportunities easier

2. I will break the barrier, inspires the girls to go to their opportunities with motivational quotes from reels female representatives in sport.

3. I did break the barrier is a reward system in which girls can log the hours they play sport for, gaining points. The more points you get the ‘better’ the reward this encourages continuous sport attendance and gives girls recognition in their achievements.

Picture the news challenge inspired by Johnson Banks design agency in which they were challenged to represent a story in the news via graphic design.

The story I chose was Meghan Markle speaking out about empowering females in Fiji and to encourage them to go into higher education. 

I took inspiration from Fiji tapa cloth designs and fashioned them into the female symbol that transitions into a pencil, to create 2 bold symbols that become unified.

A fun little project, I got asked to create some helmet stickers for a team representing Great Britain at the international mining games. The team had a sense of humour so I created some tongue in cheek stickers.

Dogging is in reference to hammering spikes into railway sleepers in order to pin the rail to the sleeper, and is one of many gruelling challenges the lads have to compete in. 

I incorporated parts of the CSM logo into the stickers and re-created the sponsors to the best of my ability considering the time restraints, but there was a certain smugness when even P&V didn't realise it was a recreation!

So I've been working super hard  to produce some graphics for a short film project. The film is set in a dystopian future where in order to bring a life into the world you must first take one out.
